The ease of roll-on allows your hands to remain free of the smell when being applied. Biofreeze does bring a soothing relief for muscle pains. The Menthol smell is strong and it does get somewhat clumpy on the roll top after application.

I was excited for the roll on gel because it meant I could have a very targeted application. The application was clean and went exactly where I wanted, but the strength of the relief was pretty weak. If you're sensitive to menthol pain relief, this may be the product for you, but it wasn't for me.

The only con was the strong menthol scent when it was applied but this smell eventually vanished and wasn’t so noticeable anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really impressed with this product. I am a fitness enthusiast and spend a great deal of time at the gym. From time to time, I may go a bit hard. This has been an excellent thing to have on hand. The application is so easy as it just rolls on and my hands don't get all gross like when using the gel. It also allows me to hit spots on my back I wouldn't normal be able to get easily. I keep body hair to a minimal so I can't speak to how the roller works on someone who has alot of hair(ie. Chest or back) but it's very effective for me. It also is the longest lasting product I've used of it's kind. Lasted about an hour for me. Would highly recommend to anyone who gets sore muscles.

It is mess free and targets the area of my pain more precise. It easily glides over bigger muscular areas and smaller areas like the knees and ankles. I also like the cooling menthol it has.

It works just as good as a bag of ice, but it lasts longer and it doesn't have to be held in place. This stuff really works for muscle pain!
