This backpack is way too small for a kindergartener or first grader—I couldn’t even fit a standard binder inside. The design idea is good, but it’s just not practical. What’s really frustrating is that returns aren’t free and are such a hassle, so I’m stuck keeping it even though it doesn’t work for us.

Really well made and appreciate all the pockets. Wish the bottom cooler portion fit the matching lunch box, not just the bentogo bento box alone, but the backpack is roomy enough that my daughter can fit the matching insulated lunch box into the large pocket of the backpack and uses the bottom insulated pocket for her snack. We really like this backpack!

The compartments on this box are the perfect size to pack a toddler or a young child’s lunch or assortment of snacks when going out. That said, it is not the easiest kind of case to close. My son would certainly not be able to do it himself. Also, I think that the cooling layer causes some moisture and extra wetness to the food inside the case that is not entirely desirable.

The chill lunch box is okay. Don’t expect the freezer part of the box to keep things cold for long. I had to order a lunch bag and flat ice packs to make sure it keeps cold. The Bentgo flat ice packs are amazing! They’re still ice cold 7 hours later when my kid gets home from school. The only problem I have now is his backpack(not the bentgo one) is getting wet from the condensation.

I absolutely love the Bentgo Kids Chill Lunch Box! It fits so much food and keeps everything cool. I can put a sandwich, string cheese, drinkable yogurt, berries and little pretzels in and I know they will stay in place. It is also very easy for my 4 year old to open and close it while he is at school.

Easy to clean, easy to close with or without the ice pack inside. My 3 year-old is able to open it by herself. The icepack weighs down the bottom so that the whole thing doesn't flip back when the lid is open. Food compartments are big enough for finger foods and mini sandwiches. I bought multiple trays and prep the lunches at the beginning of the week. I've even taken it to work for lunch myself, and the food stays cool enough by noon without putting it in the fridge. I do put it in an insulated lunch bag.

We haven't used these a lot yet, my daughter starts school in Sept but we got them for snacks on the go from daycare to soccer. So far we really like them, the only thing I noticed is they are quite heavy so I'll be trying the styles without the icepacks as well. The colour is nice, the compartments are good size and there is no leaking.

I really like the conscience of these lunch boxes. They are easy to clean and I really love them. But I was really disappointed after one use they are all scratched up just from being set on the sidewalk. I thought they’d hold up better for being so highly priced. :/

This is the perfect back to school backpack! It has all the necessary pouches and compartments to keep school supplies organized but the bentgo zip compartment on the bottom of the pack is GENIUS. No longer does the lunch have to be packed sideways in the main compartment, all the food can stay in its place and to top it off, there’s a compartment for an “I ice pack” to keep the lunch cool on hot days. I’m SO happy with this purchase and my daughter loves the design too 💗

The bag is of great quality and is as pictured. It feels very sturdy and my son is in love with the design. He will be using it when he commences school in September and it is spacious enough for all the materials and supplies he will need to transport.
