I don't give it to him as a substitute for a meal but after to make sure he's had the daily needed vitamins and protein. Removing my parathyroid controls the blood calcium level. I have used this product in my daily cooking recipes instead of milk. Such as light dressing on salads, puddings, creams, etc. I have learned I can reduce sugar by using Ensure in my cooking as well. Great product!
