I agree with another reviewer. This past year i’ve bought several rolls of sausage and its tough. I’ve been eating this sausage since i was a kid and only buy another brand if its not available for significant lengths of time. I literally will pass on buying sausage for a while before i but an alternate brand. I have a pound tight now that seems to be the first out of this years purchases that are back to original quality. So glad and hope its stays. It needs to maintain this quality to be worth the price. As Jimmy himself used to say, he’d rather explain the price than apologize for the quality!

I had been eating the J D regular sausage for several years. It wasn't until recently twice, I have found long (6-8 ins) human hairs in my pattys. Also I noticed short, perhaps pork hairs. The sausage is absolutely delicious but this was hard to accept.

Jimmy Dean original sausage has been the only sausage i have bought for years, but it seems something has changed with the flavorlike there is more sage or something and maybe less of other spices that made it the best. please bring back the flavor we love.

Jimmy Dean sausage has been a staple in my family for 3 generations. I like the regular premium pork sausage, it is a great ingredient in many dishes I like to make. I no longer like pork but let’s be real, you can’t go wrong with Jimmy Dean. This is what we always used to make biscuits and gravy on the weekend mornings so it’s always been my favorite. Every once and awhile I’ll buy some cause it’s affordable and satisfy a craving.

Jimmy dean products are so good but this sausage is mouth watering goodness a must try if you have not easy to make on the stove and price is good for quailty i love the smell of the sausage fresh cooking in the morning and its fresh everytime also its great in all kinds of meals.

Love Jimmy Dean pork sausage- main ingredient in the following recipe. You will be asked for the recipe-Never any left over! Sausage dip recipe: 1 roll Jimmy Dean pork sausage(the regular) 1 Philadelphia cream cheese- bar -8 oz. 1 can Rotele chopped tomatoes (mild or regular). I use only 1/3 can. Brown sausage in fry pan until no longer pink. Drain grease. (Very little grease to drain). Add cream cheese and tomatoes. Cook/stir until cheese melts. Serve warm with scoops. So easy to make. So delicious. Enjoy!

I'm not sure what has changed but working the meat into paddies, it felt totally off. Also I'm disappointed that you have any sugar in your meat, let alone high fructose corn syrup. It's not about how much you have in there It's the fact that it's in everything. You pretty much have to have a fully functional farm at home to not be exposed to all these additives in the food now. Which is what's happening. If you like being profitable, you should make clean food. There is so much extra garbage in this meat it's burning in the pan before the meat is cooked and it smells like burnt sugar.

I am from Lubbock Texas, Jimmy Dean sausage started in Plaincuew, I have eaten the sausage products virtually all my life. The best breakfast sausage . I prefer the patties. Just cooked 2lbs this morning for my family. Delicious. Yes sausage is high si is everything else. Got it on dale. Best ever!

I only use Jimmy Dean brand in all my recipes. Especially sausage stars.. All my co workers beg me to bring them . I have shared my recipe with a few , but they tried to skimp and not use the real Deal JIMMY DEAN. . Then ask why theirs are not as good. ? Other brands do not compare . Jimmy Dean hands down... quality,taste,texture. Do not except substitutions.
