[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These knifes are awesome. They are very well made and sharp. I love the fact that each of the slots has its own sharpener so that when you pull the knife out it gets sharpened. The only slots that don’t have the sharpeners are the steak, serrated and scissors and that’s ok because you have to know how to sharpen that style of knife anyway. The block is heavy and well made also and I like that each knife slot is labeled. This is a great knife set and well worth the money.

These are hand forged hammered knives nice quality anf nicely sharp. Do not be misconceived by the light weight they are very sturdy sturdy. Having a full tank going all the way through and down makes the knife super efficient,

The knives are lighter weight than my last set but having the metal go all the way through the handles should make them last a long time. I like the continence of them always sharpening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy and excited when I bought this product in May 2020. They were sharp, cut through meat flawlessly, and overall was happy to have them, to the point that I recommended them to my sister-in-law and sister for them to buy same set. The self sharpening block is also awesome. However, after one year of use, the handle of the knife started to shatter. About 4 of my knives had shattered handles. I mostly hand wash my knives, although occasionally, when they get so much grease, I put them at the dishwasher. But again, this is seldom. I'm hoping that j.a. henckels will abide by their guarantee that they provide lifetime warranty to their knives. Hoping I could get the replacements. I will still give them 4 star as they are fairly good knives.

What I don't like is the mixed message about "dishwasher safe" yet "hand washing recommended" What does that mean? What happens if you only wash with a dishwasher for teh high heat and sanitation?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The block is large. Knifes are very sharp. We have only had them a couple weeks but they are beautiful knives. The blades run all the way to the end of the handle and are beautiful! We sliced steaks into paper thin slices for French dip sandwiches. I’ve attempted but never purchased such a nice set! Hopefully they hold up and stay sharp for many years to come. This is the first time I’ve tried a self sharpening block.

I absolutely loved how the knifed felt and cut, that was 10 years ago. Each year I would try to buy myself but something always got in the way. This Christmas I received a Hinckley Self Sharpening knife set as a gift. I have used this set from the first day received it and absolutely love it as much as I did 10 years ago. AMAZING!!!
