Overall, good soundbar and easy to connect

Overall a really good speaker for the price. I bought a new Samsung TV and my Sony soundbar would no longer connect to it (no aux inputs). This soundbar connects through bluetooth which is nice so I can keep an HDMI open for something else later on. This Samsung soundbar packs a lot of sound for being a good 10 inches smaller than my last one. The remote control is a little confusing though.

Love the clarity and enhancement this brings to my living room. The blue tooth allows you to play music from your phone. The HDMI insert amplifies the sound and syncs accurately with the sound. This system has enough bass with the built in mini woofer, but if you are looking for imax bass sound, this is not the right one for you.

Hard to understand remote control instructions.

When I finally got the thing working I was very pleased. But I must be getting old. Took me several tried to figure out how to get the sound loud enough to enjoy. The instruction could have been more clear. The soundbar remote needs someone like me to write the instructions, you know, so a 76 year old can understand them.

Not what I expected but you get what you pay for

This item is NOT surround sound. The NFC does not work with my iPhone I have to be synced with the speaker thru Bluetooth in order to play music thru the speaker, could be different with android phones. It’s a good price but you can do better for a few more bucks.

Jesus,<br /><br />Thank you for taking a moment to review the HW-C400 Soundbar.<br /><br />Did you know that you by pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~&#43;6 by using the Up/Down buttons.<br /><br />Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to &#43;6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.<br /><br />Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to &#43;6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.<br /><br />If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Ummmm…it’s a no for me

This sound bar has a decent sound for what you pay. The problem is that I didn’t get to hear it much. The connections were sketch. To keep it connected would make a grown man cry (I’m a woman). EVERY SINGLE TIME I turned on my tv I had to futz with the thing and more often than not it wouldn’t work. Don’t do it to yourself. I’m so sad about not having a working soundbar .

Hello Karen,<br /><br />I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sound occasionally dropping from your HW-C400 Soundbar. You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.<br /><br />In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware by using a USB device.<br /><br />You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and &#43; (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.<br /><br />Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.<br /><br />I hope these tips help resolve your issues.<br /><br />If you need more help, Samsung is here for you.
