Chicken Pot Pie...Creamy Mushroom

Was disappointed in the satisfaction of taste of the Chicken Creamy Mushroom Pot Pie....bought two and baked in conventional oven....crust turned nice brown...and gravy even came out over the crust....nice pieces of white chicken....but somehow the satisfaction of taste was not there....shared info with 2 friends and they said the same. Not what I remembered from past pies....do not know what has happened?????

From freezer to Microwave in 10 minutes.

My wife picked up a couple of these for me to have for lunch. I wasn't expecting much but gave one a try today. I already had the toaster oven preheating when I read the directions. "Remove top and cook in the microwave for 10 minutes" Hmmm, how is it going to get brown, I wondered. Well, 10 minutes later I popped it out and gave it a try. The crust was brown and flaky and to my surprise, it was not just a disk on top but went down the sides of the pan as well. The chicken was large white chunks and plenty of them. The gravy and veggies were very tasty as well. Kudos to the chefs at Marie Callender's for developing a pot pie that cooks perfectly in the microwave. Great job.

Inferior product

The chicken pot pie was a huge disappointment. The misleading TV commercial, that I see a few times a day, shows a pie being prepared with a roasted chicken on the table. The filling appears very thick and abundant. In no way does it resemble the pie you sell. The "chicken" in the pie was a disgusting sponge-like cube. Apparently it is some synthetic processed product containing flavorings to resemble chicken meat. There were a scarce amount of peas and carrots in a thin soupy liquid. The only tasty part of the pie was the top crust. I baked it in the oven and the bottom crust was doughy. After waiting 45 minutes for it to cook, I forced myself to eat this poor excuse for food. Would never buy this product again.

Cooking Chicken Pot Pie in the microwave

I recently purchased the above item and the followed the new instructions of how to cook the pot pie in its container, removing the top portion of the box. I used the recommended time and let it sit for the recommended time. When I turned the pot pie over on my plate, the bottom was still raw. I attempted to cook it more and it got worse. I finally had to dry it up by placing it into the toaster-oven. I have never had a problems with any of your products and was very disappointed in this meal. I still have another one in my freezer and will cook it entirely in the over - which is not very convenient.

We're so sorry! We checked with our home economists and they suggest raising the pie off the bottom of the microwave while cooking by placing the carton and pie on an upside down microwave-safe plate. This should help with the undercooked crust. We do appreciate you taking the time to share this review with us and we hope you'll continue to enjoy our products. Thank you!

not good

I would give you a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the last 2 chicken pot pies I had, There was a very strong taste of sage, which had never been there in the past and hardly any gravy. I love the pies because they have double crust and the large amount of gravy in which to soak the crust. The chicken and veggies are sufficent. Please change them back to the original way they were.

So disappointed

The pot pies used to be so filling and delicious. They came with a sleeve inside to microwave the pot pie. They seem to have gotten rid of it? And now all of my pot pies have been completely raw on the bottom. Not even close to being cooked actually. Also they seem to have about half of the contents as they used to. I don't buy frozen foods, and these were considered a treat for me considering the amount of calories. Now, it's not worth it. You guys lost a customer. Please fix the cooking instructions, add more veggies and chicken and then maybe I'll consider coming back.

disappointed

I have been purchasing your chicken pot pies for quite some time. Yesterday I purchased 2 more and commented on the fact that the size looked smaller. Well - it is smaller. Checked my old receipts and yes - size is smaller and so was price at Walmart by about 50 cents each. My point is - the smaller pot pies are not considered a meal by my husband and I and they sure were lacking content. Please bring back what used to be the regular/individual pot pie. I don't have a problem paying 50 cents more for a satisfying pot pie. Don't tell me to buy the family size as that is too big and the content was also lacking in that pie. Thanks

Chicken Tastes Like Chemicals

I grew up loving Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie as a treat when Dad was away. Mom would let us pick a freezer meal, this was my go to. I recently bought 2 and after attempting to eat the first where the chicken tasted like cleaning liquid I threw away the second. I will not purchase again, ever.

Chicken is tough and gristly

It's been several years since I purchased a Marie Callender Pot Pie and this will probably be my last. I remember they were always so good, just about as good as my homemade, but EVERY bite of chicken was tough and gristly. The crust is good and the gravy is good, but not the chicken. Not worth the money and a definte turn off when you bite into bad chicken and have to spit it out. Sorry Marie, you need higher quality chicken.

Insufficient fill in frozen beef and chicken pot pies

The amount of filling has been decreased to a point that we do not purchase this product. In past years this was one of our comfort foods and much enjoyed. We realize all producers are cutting back to save money buy you have gone to the point of losing customers. Have a marketing people check if what I am telling you is true. Buy one at the store. Posting this will not put any more filling in the pie,
