Best Frozen Pot Pie

I have tried several different brands of pot pies, and Marie Callender's are by far the best I have tried. Crispy, flaky crust (& I don't normally eat pie crusts), big chunks of meat and vegetables. I have tried all of the flavors, and haven't found one I haven't enjoyed!

Used to be a much better product

I have been so disappointed of late, as the chicken pot pies used to be my favorite go to quick meal, easily eaten at least once a week. Now the pies are not nearly as good. There are hardly any vegetables, and not much meat to speak of, mostly dough. Very sorry that they are not the same great quality they used to be.

Perfect on a cold, wet day!

I love these. The chicken actually tastes like chicken; the carrots and peas taste like carrots and peas...the carrots almost crunch! I'm retired and semi-disabled. These little satisfying pies are perfectly adaptable for my arbitrary meal time needs. Thank you. They could only be better by using organically grown veggies...please!

not recommended

The chicken pot pie has virtually no chicken in it and it wasn't even chicken. it was more fat and gristle. Where were the vegetables? Half a dozen pieces of carrots & a dozen peas? The pies contained far too much sodium. Certainly not a healthy meal if you can call it a meal.

disappointed x 2

while I've always loved pot pies, they are somewhat time consuming to make. I've purchased Marie Callender's pot pies for years and had always been very happy with them. Lately, however, they have been dry and with minimal vegetables and very little chicken pieces with the filing appearing to take up less than a third of the pie. We normally purchase the 8 pie box and over half of them were in this same condition. I was very disappointed with the product these last 2 times we purchased them. we purchased them the second time to give your product the benefit of the doubt and were again disapointed.

Needs more chicken and veggies.

My husband loves these. I'm concerned about them because there is so little chicken or vegetables. Today I solved that problem by cooking two chicken tenders per pie and adding them after the pie was cooked. There was plenty of gravy to make it a hearty meal. We would be willing to pay more for a hardy pie that contained much more filling.

disappointing bottom crust

Basically I love the pot pie HOWEVER no matter what trickery I try the bottom of your crusts do not cook. They end up an uncooked dough mess. I buy these every few months hoping it's been improved, only to be disappointed again this week. I really like all your other products and I hold out hope for this one...you just need to improve how the bottom of the crust comes out when microwaved.

Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pot Pie is delicious baked in the ov

Your Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pot Pie is delicious baked in the oven! The quality varies a little from store to store, which may be due to the way the store handles them. I do not buy frozen meals from stores who fill their frozen food cases from huge cartons of frozen meals in the aisle. I bake the pies until the top crust is golden and that takes a little longer than the package suggests. A meat thermometer is the best way to make sure the pie is thoroughly cooked. The first pie I baked was BETTER THAN HOMEMADE; the crust was tender and flakey and the filling had lots of tender white meat chicken chunks, vegetables and gravy. Yum! I have given every pie we have tried at least 4 stars and the others rated 5 stars! I will definitely keep a few in my freezer this fall and winter.

so convenient

I am a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy. It is difficult for me to prepare meals. A friend suggested the chicken pot pies and it sounded really good. I've been eating one every night for the last two months. They microwave beautifully and taste great. Because it's quick & easy, I can get the calories I need before the chemicals in my body make me change my mind about eating. I'm glad to have the product available in my freezer at all times. By the way, I am a food scientist and registered dietitian.

Chicken Pot Pie

I've had your chicken pot pie roughly a year ago and really was impressed and decided to try this again. I was very disappointed with this in that, yes, there are a few meaty pieces of chicken but the rest of the 'filling' was somewhat scarce, sauce wasn't much to talk about and there was too much thick crust on top. While the concept is great, it was lacking in filling.
