ok

I love your product. However because of heart problems, I must now limit my intake of Sodium. The pot pies have 990mg of sodium,(salt) and this amount puts your product off limits. Is it possible to reduce the amount of sodium so that I, and a lot of people can enjoy your product. Can you go "Heart Healthy" with these super good pot pies. Something like 35mg of sodium instead of the 990mg. Thank you for your time to read this.

Not a product I would buy again.

What a disappointment in the turkey and chicken pot pies. They were very dry and the crust was thick and hard - not at all flaky. We ended up throwing it away. I have been most satisfied with your fruit pies and couldn't believe how bad a job you do with the pot pies. After reading some of the other reviews, I guess I wont be the only one not buying your product.

Marie Callender's 16 Ounce Chicken Pot Pie

For years I've been enjoying the 10 ounce Chicken Pot Pie which when cooked according to the instructions in my microwave is nothing short of perfect. The crust is brown and the rest of the pie is done, and importantly, including the bottom of the shell. The quasi metallic wrapper insures a nice even browning of the pie. I just bought a box of the 16 ounce pies and cooked one according to the instructions of between 9 and 10 minutes in my microwave rated at 1000 watts. I was disappointed to discover that the bottom of the shell was still dough at the end of ten minutes but cooking it another three minutes didn't help a whole lot except it turned a few of the pieces of chicken into rock status and burned some of the crust and chicken. I was already to return the unused pies but double check the power of my microwave first. In all fairness, the oven isn't rated at the recommended 1100 watts. I will try again the next time in our second microwave rated at 1600 watts and report back.

soggy rubbery crust

We have always loved the taste of Marie Calendar's Chicken Pot pie. We have followed it thru many incarnations of boxes, oven only prep, micro wave baking trays, browning boxes, and now 'unique baking tray'. The top crusts are generally nice and crisp. With the newest 'unique baking tray', the bottom crust is always soggy and rubbery. I follow the micro directions exactly and it never turns out the way I expect it to. Half the pie always goes in the trash. :-( Go back to the drawing board Marie and find a way to microwave a pot pie with a crisp crust. Don't make me give up on your Pot Pies!!!

We're sorry you've been disappointed! We checked with our home economists regarding the bottom of the crust being undercooked during your cooking experience in the microwave and they suggest raising the pie off the bottom of the microwave while cooking by placing the carton and pie on an upside down microwave-safe plate. We sincerely hope you will give this a try so you can continue to enjoy our pot pies in the future. Thank you!

Chicken Pot Pies were horrible!

My wife and I have enjoyed the Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pies for years. We recently purchased a four pack of the 10 oz pot pies which were advertised as "microwaveable". We always bake the pot pies and the pie crust has always turned out good. This time the bottoms were doughy and the top crust was a different consistency and not good. We also found a great deal of gristle in the chicken. Did you change the recipe to make them microwaveable? We thought the pies were horrible. We were extremely disappointed and will never buy this product again.

This is the ONLY brand of chicken pot pie I will buy. Nice big chunks of chicken in every bite. I usually add a side salad and it's a complete meal for my husband and I. It is slightly pricey, but the taste and size of the meat and veggies make it worth it. One place they could improve it, is to back off the carrots a little, they tend to be too many for me.

Excellent pie for the

Excellent pie for the price. The sauce and cheese was good enough quality and delicious. I also believe theres a gluten free option which is nice to have. I enjoy Marie Calendar's products and the consistency of the products. All of the. I've tried are great.

From the ease of

From the ease of opening the box to the short amount of time to cook, this pot pie is super convenient. It has good flavor, nice hearty chunks of chicken. I have been eating Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pies for quite a while. I do wish the sodium level was a bit lower so they would be considered healthy.

I bought this pot

I bought this pot pie on a whim because my local farmers market was out of the homemade ones I typically buy. I enjoyed it but I feel like it wasn't a wow factor. I guess I am spoiled when it comes to the homemade pot pies I typically get. Still I'd recommend this to those who can not get to enjoy a homemade one

seriously the best pot

seriously the best pot pies come from Marie! I am not a fan of pot pies but these ones are soooooo good! The price is fair, they are filling and have a very good about of feeling, its not just all crust like other companies. they do take a while to cook but if you plan ahead and are not starving when you start it the wait is WELL worth it!
