Too Peppery

I don't know what happened. I absolutely loved Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pies until my most recent purchase. After the first bite something was way off. The chicken was waaaaay too peppery! I thought it was just me but then I mentioned it to my family and they all said the same thing. What happened to the old Pot Pies? Maybe this box was just a dud? I hope so, because after that experience it made me not want to eat another Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie again... :(

Pot pie

Chicken pot pie used to be delicious until you changed the recipe. It's spicy and terrible. I used to buy them all the time, my husband liked the one filled with mushrooms. But since I can't eat mine anymore I won't buy any for him either. So sad you changed it. Went from priceless to you couldn't give it to me.

HomeStyle Delight

We prefer to bake this Chicken Pot Pie in the conventional oven because the flavors are given time to be mixed & enhanced....and the aromas warm our kitchen with memories of Mom's good homestyle cooking. Great on a chilly winter night! Tip: place it on a foil-lined cookie sheet to ensure even heating and easy clean-up.

The Sauce is ALOT Thinner But...

The sauce is a lot thinner than what it used to be. I didn't notice the difference in packaging; the silver slide is no longer above the pot pie itself, but thankfully my crust still browned at the top and edges. The only thing I didn't care for was the sauce, it's less flavorful as well.

beef pot pie

I used to LOVE your pot pies and I've tried every one available with no success. The crust is doughy and just doesn't brown like it used to..just yukky now. Please go back to whatever you used to do to make them so awesome. Unfortunately until it does go back to the old version I will no longer purchase this product. And that makes me sad!

That is sad; we always want you to love our food! We haven't made any recent changes to our pot pies. If you're cooking it in the microwave, our Culinary team suggests raising the pie off the bottom of the microwave while cooking by placing the carton and pie on an upside down microwave-safe plate to help with undercooked crust. If you're cooking it in a conventional oven, they suggest putting the pot pie on a dark cookie sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and cover the crimped edge with about a 1 inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent the top crust from burning. We hope these tips will help so you can continue to enjoy our pot pies. Thanks!

chewy crust

I love your chicken pot pies, but, the new way to cook them (remove the top of the box, slit the crust, cook 9 to 10 minutes) does not give a "flaky" crust...it is tough and chewy......The box with the "shiny" top works really well.......this is the 16oz pie......everything cooked well.......just the crust. Thank you for listening.

VERY DISAPPOINTED ! ! !

This evening I baked a 10oz Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie and was very disappointed. Yes, there were tender white meat pieces but only SEVEN, carrots but only 5-6 VERY small pieces, peas but only 7-8, potatoes but only tiny pieces and I'm guessing some celery because I could not distinguish any. I think you can do better than this BUT it's very doubtful I'll be purchasing this product again unless I see "NEW AND IMPROVED" on your box.

having to put foil paper on crust with limited use of hands

i purchased my first box of chicken pot pies today. 4 to a box. i was really amazed when i got home and found out how you have to cook them. surely there must be a better way than having to put pieces of foil on crust. i am 71 years old and have limited use of my hands and being able to hold onto things. this was a very frustrating experience for me.

Love Love Love

Wow, I'm surprised by the low rating. I love these pies. They remind me of my grandmother's especially the crust. I usually eat one once a week for lunch if I know I'm working late. I've gotten my niece hooked as well. This is the only product I eat from Marie but is very tempted to try the banana dessert. Thanks,

Packaging missing browning/crisping film

I have been purchasing your chicken pot pies for a number of years. In recent purchases I have found that the browning/crisping film on the inside top of your pot pies is missing. This has made a distinct difference in the finished product. Why would you change something that was working as intended?
