I have had this thing for several months and there really is no rhyme or reason to why it comes on or goes off. It basically detects faint smells (good or bad) and comes on. It does NOTHING for dust, as the dust is collecting around it months later. It just doesn't do what I assumed it was supposed to do.

Both the unit and filter are large in size but so is its range of fourteen hundred square feet. This air purifier couldn't have come at a better time as our air quality levels in Michigan have literally been in hazardous range on and off all summer. It also helps keep all the dog hair out of the air, and off of the furniture with its suction and two pull out screens to keep it away from the filter! I am a huge fan of the lock feature, making sure once I have it set, my little one doesn't change anything! I can smell the difference in my home, it has the same odor neutralizer in it that my Shark vacuum does, and I love it in both products. Nothing makes a mom feel better than her little one going to sleep soundly, breathing in the freshest air possible!

Purchased two units for 2100 sq.ft. house. They worked great for three months. Then they stopped working. Both units would only register 0 clean air. Cleaned the Hepa Filter per the instructions, cleaned all air screens including the sensor on the back. They worked....for two weeks and stopped again. Have cleaned the units every two weeks for three months. Today, neither unit will register. Cleaned them again for the second time in two days and still neither works. It is like they are talking/linked to each other...AI???? Shark replaced one unit but these units do not last 5 hears, they don't even last 1 year. Totally disappointed for the big money, not worth it.

I love that it tells me how clean my air is. I can have it run all thr time or use the timer. Includes a little separate filter for odors. It disperses a mild scent that is pleasant. It is pretty quite too! I love it! I find myself dusting less too since running this. highly recommended!

This Shark Air Purifier unit gives you more than an average home air purifier. It's not just high performance up to 1200 sq ft, smart technology, real HEPA filter and so on. It is a quiet, powerful and well designed unit. I recommend it for every household especially if you are sensitive to the air quality in your living space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air purifier is extremely quiet. We have a 3,500 sq Ft home and this air purifier does the trick for the first and second floor. This purifier also allows us to have the windows open and in our experience, minimizes allergy symptoms due to the fresh air. We notified an immediate positive difference in how our home smelled after using this machine for a night. Set up is super easy, just unpack it from the box, put it in the corner and plug it in and the machine does the work!

Sorry but I just sent mine back via FedEx asap. I got it to purify my air as well as to help with my cats, cat hair it did NADA; NOTHING … however if you stand close enough to it you can get some cool air blow on you real quick if you're hot but to me it was just a waste of money 👎🏽

If I could give this 10 stars I would. I have asthma, 2 guinea pigs, 2 dogs and a cat, I have had my share of air purifiers in my lifetime, even the really expensive ones that start with a D and end with a N, and lemme tell you this machine has been telling me I have bad clean air for a few hours as it did its thing, mind you, the room I put it in has a winix and a Dyson in it, I immediately can tell a difference in the air. I am a believer!

It provides a cleaner and fresher environment by removing allergies and contaminants from the air. Since we installed the air purifier, my husband's allergies have significantly improved. We have two dogs as well, and I've observed that the dust in the home has decreased and it does not smell like dogs anymore. After cooking or baking the air purifier's little turbo went on instantly and cleansed the air. It goes without saying that the Auto Setting was quite useful and effective during the day. With simple controls and a washable outer filter, the device is simple to operate and maintain. Particularly for anyone with allergies or respiratory problems, an air purifier is a great addition to your home. Overall, the air purifier is a good purchase for anybody trying to enhance the quality of their indoor air. I would highly recommend this air purifier and are planning to buy one or my parents!

I've had it for a few weeks and it works well. Getting the hepa filter out to take the bag off was a little difficult the first time. The smell neutralizing could be a little better but over all I am very happy with my purchase. It filter the smoke out of the kitchen from cooking on my cast iron really quickly. The pet smell has definitely improved , we own 3 Rottweilers.
