I liked that I could plan ahead my meals and conveniently store food items with the different bag sizes depending upon my needs. The system was an ideal size to display on my counter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only ever used food saver brand for vacuum sealing because it is the best. I got this smaller version for my sister because she never had one because she doesn’t have a lot of room or thought she really needed one. This looks a a great smaller, simpler version, & it’s easy to use for someone that’s never used vacuum sealers before.

I bought this about 5 months ago worked great the first few times I used it, then it would not vacuum out the air. I contacted customer service which was a hassle. The lady acted like I was stupid and didn’t know what I was doing. I had to keep reminding her I already have a bigger food-saver I just wanted one for quick sealers. I finally got another one and again the first few times it worked great and then the same thing happened. Not only did it not vacuum out the air the side button kept sticking and it didn’t want to open after closing it shut. After all that now it quite working completely. For all those people who gave a good review I would be curious to see how it is working after several uses. I truly am disappointed and question whether Food Save still cares about the quality of their product because my other food saver works great and I have had for a very long time. Don’t waste your money on this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to get this food saver device in the mail. Unfortunately, when it arrived it didn’t function. The buttons flash. But then the only button that turns on is the seal button. It just didn’t seal! Another thing I noticed is that it is very hard to close and lock the device. Had to place all my force into getting it closed. I do like that the machine doesn’t take up to much space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. By that I mean making sure the bag is in the proper spot before sealing or using the vac feature. There were times where I would notice it wasn't vacuuming out the air, in that case I just opened up the top and re-positioned the bag and it worked again. I really like that it comes with bags to get you started on the process which allows you to learn how to use the bags and also cutting and sealing to make your own bags using the rolls. It comes with a little hose too just in case you have to Foodsaver containers. Its very slender and doesn't take up much room on the counters.

I cook a lot of chicken (for health and fitness) and we buy ours in 2-pound packaging. I like to separate my chicken into 4 oz single-serving packaging for easy preparation when I am ready to cook. We also travel a lot, so I have limited freezer space in our travel trailer, so putting the chicken in a portion size helps me with storage. I love using the FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer to help me separate my chicken quickly. I recommend this item for anyone looking for a Space Saving Vacuum Sealer.

What better way to save money than to save most of your leftovers via this handy food saver that is so easy to use. It seals your leftovers in two sizes of bags. If you are a fisherman or hunter you can store the catch of the day in these without having to worry about freezer burn or spoilage. It is very economical. Nothing is worst than wasting food these days. I can now rest assured that more food is not being thrown out or dumped off to the compost bin. I am glad to have been able to see how this works because I am not having any trouble using it. It is a smaller sealer so it will fit on top of your refrigerator or somewhere like that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm now a believer that "Foodsaver" is the #1 vacuum sealing system. I love the space saving sleek design. I can easily store it in my cabinet or leave it on my kitchen counter. Very easy to use in 3 steps. First you fill your bag and place it into the removable drip tray. Next, press the lid to lock it. Lastly, press the Vac/Seal button. That's it! Highly recommend this if you want to keep your food fresher longer or prevent freezer burn.

I've previously had FoodSavers and they worked great for sealing everything, including jars, until they finally gave out.. Just purchased this model today primarily for sealing jars. Well, I tried to use it when I got home and the accessory hose doesn't even fit into the hole where it is suppose to go. It is too small, won't stay in place and falls out. Even if I try to hold it in place, it will not seal. I am using the correct jars, lids and FoodSaver accessory that goes over the jar/lid. I am returning this and will probably get a different brand. Plus the instructions are terrible!!!
