I am surprised how many times I need to enter name, address, phone, email after registering the software and attaching it to my Intuit account. When stepping through the guided process, there are numerous topics such as electing Section 179 depreciation or "safe harbors" for which even a single-sentence hint or link to the IRS web page covering that topic would be hugely helpful. I'm also surprised that, when the validation logic finds an error, that the field that must be corrected or over-ridden is not over-ridable without going back to the menu, and performing multiple steps for what should be a one-step process. It was also a pain in the butt to get TTAX to "see" the drive letters that are mapped to my SMB file server. When browsing for files it should show the same drives and folders that show up on file explorer, not require me to re-map an SMB share as a network drive. For the money and years that the product has been out I'd expect to see more integration and usability.

Was very difficult to navigate through the Partnership percentages section and very difficult to navigate through the Centralized Audit Regime section. The only way it would allow me to finish the return was if I opted out of the Centralized Audit Regime.

I have a small engineering consulting firm and have used TurboTax for our LLC (Form 1065) and our own filing (1040) since 1996! I like keeping up with the tax changes and TurboTax software does a great job explaining it plus it compares the previous years return amounts line-by-line. I moved from QBooks Desktop to QBO and unfortunately QBO does not transfer in TurboTax, whereas the Desktop did. That was the only drawback this year.

Why am I limited to 3 state e-files? I am a partner in a small business and receive K1s from one company that has revenue in 17 states. Therefore I have to report income and pay taxes in 17 states. But I can only e-file in 3 states, whenover 6 require that I e-file. This is craxy

i cannot e-file even though I'm in a disaster zone and filed after april 15 yet before the due date 10/15. And moreover, you added the late penalty without comparing my address to the disaster zone (*ALL OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY*) - this software sucks.

There are many areas that need improvement. 1. Does not clearly state that only 5 Federal returns can be filed. 2. When I tried to file a NYS return, it did not allow me to transmit. The screen shows that I have used my 5 filings of Federal returns. It does not specify that I cannot file State returns if I have filed 5 Federal returns. 3. Your voice activated interface needs much improvement. It put one into a loop and cannot decipher clearly stated issues. .

The product is fine -- just fine. The walkthrough is complicated and does not explain a lot of the stranger possible deductions, so I end up having to do a lot of Googling in another window to determine whether things apply to me. Moreover, it seems to do a bad job of entering K-1s, such that I end up having to make custom entries and "trick" the program into paying the appropriate amount of tax. Worse yet, it doesn't seem to check for some things (like PHC taxes) automatically, only if the user is knowledgeable and actively triggers the topic is it checked.

The online experience is ridiculous. It is not user-friendly, it's confusing, and ultimately, it is a pure hassle every year. Finding the section to actually download the product is a mystery - I literally have to just go to google and search "download turbotax 2024" as it is impossible to find it when you're logged into your account. I consider myself a marginally intelligent person, but geez ....

I downloaded and opened Turbotax and started my 2024 business return. The program recognized me and uploaded information from my prior year's return. After a few hours I exited TurboTax. The next day when I re-opened, I was prompted to update the software, which I did. After that, the program did not recognize me, did not recognize that I was filing a business return, and started asking me questions as if I was doing a personal return. After a frustrating hour trying to find and continue the return I'd just started the day before, I had to completely delete the software from my PC. I then downloaded and installed the 2024 software all over again, except this time when it prompted me to update it, I declined. I had to begin my 2024 all over again however -- similar to the day prior -- the program did recognize me, and had my prior information saved.

TurboTax Business continues to underperform but is better than not having it. The amount of manual work that is required to complete the CA State Forms 568, L, M, and K-1's properly is considerable. Why won't TT make good decisions about the interface and what is stored and what must be reentered every time that a particular page is accessed? Why won't TT transfer last year's work to this year? I keep hoping for better. Please invest in your product!
