The software itself worked well once we were able to download the state form. Unfortunately, it took 5 support phone calls before we were able to successfully download the state forms. We had similar issues in 2024 also. Regardless of how well the software works, if we spend 10 hours on support calls each year trying to download/troubleshoot software, it's just not worth it. I'm an IT person and every support specialist seemed to have zero clue what the error messages in your software meant or root cause. Frankly, it's ridiculous! Also, on this review form... seriously, I have to spend my time trying to find a unique Nickname? Are you kidding me????

I engaged with Jackelyn, and she was very helpful. Once we figured out what we were doing, we were well on our way to getting things back on track. Once we stopped talking over each other we were fine. I think my biggest problem is that once it tells you where to find it, it would be most helpful to refer to that form and not a different form. example look at form 1120 line 23, I didn't use form 1120, I used form 1120-H.

Turbox Tax Business 2024 is about like normal.... usable but quirky. It sucks that it doesn't import data directly from older versions of Quickbooks even though the data file is dead simple. This is yet another attempt by Intuit to strong-arm you into "updating" to QB online so you can pay a subscription fee every year for a product that never really changes.

It was extremely easy to use. The only difficulty I had was printing the form to sign and scan. The app would not let me save the form to print unless I added my name to the signature field using one of the sidebar controls. It was a bit frustrating, but I got through it. Otherwise, it was a breeze.

Overall using Turbotax has been a complete nightmare. First I bought the business edition, did my taxes, submitted, and got rejected. After some number of calls to the IRS and Intuit, I found that indeed I had filed as an S-Corp, when I am a C corp. Then I found the Turbotax business online only does S-Corps, and that I would have to get the App version. But the App online runs on Windows, and I am on Mac. What a total pain, so I found an old WIndows machine (with no email on it) and tried to install the App. It installed but when I ran it, it wanted some id number that I didn't have. The dlog said it was emailed to me, but the Windows machine didn't have email. After multiple support calls (actually very nice people) one person finally read it to me, and I was able to do the taxes. What a multi-day nightmare! All one the day before the deadline (by the time I had waded through multiple product purchases and products).

Phone support is terrible. The Turbotax for Business lacks a screen sharing function. Also seems to ignore the "jump to" help to fill out a simple form like a 1099-MISC. Spent an hour on phone with helpdesk. Support and escalation crews are ill-informed, don't know difference between Turbotax versions, and are winging it. Woof!

After years of using TT for my personal taxes I thought using Business to do a fiduciary return would be easy enough. It wasn't. Whenever the software offered a button for "get more info" etc., it just sent me to general help, where I had to start at the beginning. I needed to print my return to mail it and the program just kept sending me in a loop, previewing documents and then asking if I wanted to print them and if I said yes it went back to preview. I finally just used the print function on my browser.

Need more help in the area of distributions for non accountants. I am not an accountant. I have no idea what 1st tier and 2nd tier means. I don't know what total trust accounting income is. I don't know how to distribute capital gains. Need help with that. Need better explanations, Need to be able to attach a 1099B.

Flaw in PC Desktop Fiduciary return. Foreign dividends earned from RIC and the Foreign Tax paid reported from 1099 auto-populate into Column B of form 1116. TT looks for entries in Column A, and will not allow E-File of Federal Return until the entries are manually reassigned to column A. A simple flaw that cost me a couple of hours to troubleshoot and fix.

Turbotax Business 2024 failed to save the tax file properly on Microsoft's one drive where Windows 11 set up my home directory on a new computer. Reopening attempts kept failing saying the file was corrupted. I was half done with my taxes but then had to redo them completely.
