I've spoke to many turbo tax representatives over my corporate return. Most of my questions or issues are complex and rare and so most reps understand very little about tax or even their software product and how to fully use it. but once in a while i run across someone who is willing to help and willing to do the research required to get the answers and follow up with me.

The 1041-ES tax vouchers print even when you don't want them. If you check Complex Trust in the Information Worksheet there should be a follow-up prompt, " Is the trust required to distribute all income currently." If so, the Exemption is $300, not 100. Currently you have to override the $100 entry with $300. Would like to download the Form 1099 information from the brokerage account rather than have to enter manually.

1) All I need to do is file a 1041 for a trust. Many people are in this same position. Why doesn't TurboTax have a much simpler and less costly program to do this? We don't need everything else that TurboTax Business can do. 2) Why on earth is TurboTax Business unable to download the Trust information directly from my Broker, like TurboTax Premier does?!? Why, after paying so much for TurboTax Business, do I have to ferret out all those blasted numbers on the paper copy from my Broker and manually type them into the program?!? FIX THIS, please!

I believe the business version of your product leaves much to be desired. There is no way to add attachments to support the return when e-filing. "Tricks" have to be used to try to attach it to the scanned upload of the electronic signature filing form. I have had to file by mail for lack of confidence that these "tricks" actually work. The product also has bugs - does not allow printing of the forms when at the end and it only gives a preview with no print or save option. Also, the "preview" and "print forms" are switched. They do NOT perform the function that they say they do. The product is plenty expensive when compared to the individual version and this product should be improved. I have been using Turbo-Tax for over 25 years and this is the worst version of the product that I have seen. Please put some more quality into this version of your tax tool!

Initial CT filing rejected due to software issue. Got help with TT expert, did a great job! Recommendations: Make it easier to reach a person in your help process. Change wording in your Save box from "Save" to "Save Changes." Keep your US, American English speaking help staff. DO NOT GO OFF SHORE. I have submitted detailed suggestions for changes several times over the years, Never received any acknowledgement, No suggestions were accepted as far as I know.

Normally I give Turbo Tax (TT) 5 stars. I've been using it for years, and it's always been accurate and easy to use. This year there were a couple hiccoughs: - the questionnaire didn't ask how to apply my overpayment, and the program defaulted to "refund"; this required a call to TT, and two different people getting involved before we stumbled upon the solution (basically overriding the "refund" and "credit" lines on the PA-41 form) - even though the reviews all said "no problems with your returns", every time I printed the program said there WERE problems with my returns and was I sure I wanted to print?! - after efiling the federal 1041 and printing the PA-41, the program said I was required to print my federal filing instructions one more time. Weird ... why?

Usually this product works beautifully. We are a partnership. This means our return has to be sent in by March 17th.This year there was a broken link in the farm section that prevented me from deleting capital equipment items that had been sold or disposed of. I called for help, they said they'd get onto it and it should be resolved by Monday, the 17th. Will see.

After years of using TT for my personal taxes I thought using Business to do a fiduciary return would be easy enough. It wasn't. Whenever the software offered a button for "get more info" etc., it just sent me to general help, where I had to start at the beginning. I needed to print my return to mail it and the program just kept sending me in a loop, previewing documents and then asking if I wanted to print them and if I said yes it went back to preview. I finally just used the print function on my browser.

I have always used Turbotax because of what great help it is to me and all of the steps it walks me through. However, the last couple of years I have had a lot of trouble with the server. It is continually having issues connecting to the update site and this year it took me 7 extra days to e-file my return because their site was having technical difficulties. I paid extra to have the e-file version and nearly had to give in and file my mail so i didn't miss my deadline. That's not acceptable.
