I was frustrated to find the great features in the regular TurboTax do not exist in TurboTax Business. Mainly the ability to import 1099's and be able to efile them when filing State and Fed Taxes. I had to print out an inch and a half of paper, find a suitable box and ship it in to file. I do not understand for a more expensive product that deals with trusts why these features are missing. Both products you still have to manually go through 1099's to determine foreign dividends attached to foreign taxes paid. The step by step is more simplified to the point where many points to enter you need to click into forms. It takes a bit of massaging the data but it will get you to the point of returns you can print and send in. I f you do not have 1099's then the efile feature should work. Next year I will be checking to see what products can import and efile 1099's. I hope it will be TurboTax. I'd like to continue using it after 20 years. A Mac version would be nice too.

Things I like about TurboTax Business. Their operators are very knowledgeable and helpful. For the most part the program is easy to use. But.... Things I don't like about the program, and this is the same complaint I have had since 2010. Its explanation on points is not always very good. For instance, it should explain the point and where the data should be entered. This info should be in its own little window, stay on top and the window be movable. Another complaint. The program can do foreign tax credits, but it is difficult, and you have to know where the information needs to go. The program offers very little help on this issue. Also keep checking the left side for a Not done notice located after each form listed, every time you change something or make a correction. You have to know this because the program will not remind. I learned this from working with the support operators and watching what they do.

I have been using TurboTax for at least 30 years and it works better every year. I have been doing Partnership and S-Corp returns for businesses that had income from several states and TurboTax helped with the allocation to the proper forms and helped keep me out of trouble over the years. The software will ask you questions that make you think about what you are doing and should keep a person from rushing through the process and into future letters from the IRS or State Governments.

I have used TurboTax for at least 20 years. And I have had to file a trust return using your Business program for the last 14 years.. Since you no longer sell the CD, I had to download it, I was given the incorrect information about which program I needed and therefore downloaded the wrong forms. After 6 phonecalls (which were supposed to have been recorded) I finally asked for a refund and deleted your whole program. I then purchased it from Costco online and was finally able to download the program. However, since I have done it before, I found this year's directions pretty confusing. I'm just hoping my return is correct. I still have to do my Federal return and hoping it goes more smoothly. I'm not sure I will be using TurboTax next year

Turbo Tax for business is ok. I've been using it for years so don't really want to change. Pros: Keeps most of your info from previous years. Also keeps forms up to date. Allows you to do several different entities. Cons: Doesn't do real well with changes in the tax code. The help gives you answers that apply to both personal and corporate tax situations. Always wants to update before you can do anything. For some reason doesn't remember my state number. Also it's difficult to purchase the desktop version, I like to keep my cloud at home.

Turbo Tax SUCKS for trust filing. It's supposed to guide you through the process and fill out the necessary forms. It should also explain terminology so people who aren't lawyers or CPAs will understand. It doesn't do any of that. I literally requires you to manually select forms you need, without offering to add them.

1) Federal Program is near perfect. 2) State programs may need some work. PA Partnership is not e-file eligible. Don't know if that is a TurboTax issue or State of PA problem. Also, there was an annoying e-filing issue with the NJ Partnership regarding the "Validation_Failed - Error 54" notification. Based on the TT help / support community conversations, this was a widespread issue and covered multiple state entity returns (Partnership, Trusts etc). It took 2 calls to Tech Support along with hours of research & experimentation on my part to figure out how to solve the issue. This problem has also occurred in prior years based on what I found in the community support blog. There needs to be a permanent fix to this issue.

Intuit/Turbotax, as in the last 20 years, does a fabulous job for federal tax return and such a lousy job for state tax return that they should be paying the users, not the other way. Shameful So many lapses that I got the sense that they were too lazy or insensitive to read the tax regulations and rules to incorporate them into the software

Once installed the product works flawlessly and is veery easy to use. However, I have had problems loading the state product for two years in a row that has me very frustrated. In both years it took hours with support to get the state product downloaded. Lat year it was a glitch in the TT download process. This year no one can tell my why it didn't work using normal process.

I had some error that would not go away. In my review with Dominic I made cahnges but I still not think it was correct. So we ran the program to check for up dates and when it came back it was correct. I finished it but I can not say I was pleased with the Turbotax Program. The stress was great!
