I've used Turbotax for over 20 years. There is still quirkiness in the program that should have been worked out by now. Answers to specific questions are not immediately available. Otherwise it's a good platform vs doing it by with pen and HP12C and at this stage I doubt I'd switch to something else.

Colorado mailing instructions are wrong. Instructions say to sign, date and mail DR 0106 to CO IRS at 80261-0005 AND to sign and date 1706 and mail it plus the 0106Ks to CO IRS at 80261-0006. But there is no signature line on the 1706 and the 1706 says to mail to ...80261-0005

I am overall pleased with the Federal software. However, there seems to be a bug this year in the California software relating to Line 11 of Form 541, where the data was not pulled over from the 1041 and could not be entered manually. This was identified by people in the TT Community Users Group in early February, but was still a problem at the end of March.

I have been using TurboTax for several years and find it very user friendly. I was disappointed this year to discover that Turbo Tax and QuickBooks Online are not compatible without a lot of extra steps. I would have though Intuit would have thought through this.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE $55 FOR A STATE FIDUCIARY RETURN WHEN WE PAY HUNDREDS FOR TURBO TAX, AND 1 STATE IS FREE FOR BUSINESS???

Having issue with form 1116 foreign tax credit, under dividend income. Under report foreign dividends you enter the amount received. Then you must select from either Mutual Fund/RIC or other. My income comes from a stock position so I click other. I then input the country on the next page. TurboTax will populate form 1116 in column B. When checking the return I get an error on form 1116 Column A due to no input. I manually input column A with the country name then have to re-enter the gross amount. This is rather odd. I went back and just used RIC input. I'm not sure this is correct.

This was a difficult process. It was not until a reached a Turbo Rep, that any progress was made. He walked me through the process step by step until I was finished. The online system was not user friendly. I kept getting set into a "do loop" returning to sections i had completed..

Every year the filing is easier. The depreciation list is most helpful from year-to-year. The only detraction this year was at the very beginning in registering the product. TurboTax kept importing registration information from two different versions of the software purchased by two separate tax filers.

Even though I used Turbotax last year, I decided to buy HR Block software because it was cheaper than the Turbotax. I found that it was confusing and hard to see the print onscreen. too difficult to use. The software was much easier than HR Block because it walks you through everything. Thanks!
