Like all Intuit products, it feels like nobody is even trying to make improvements. I have dozens of pages of notes that I use to complete my S-Corp taxes each year to compensate for the lack of intuitiveness of the product. I was again under impressed this year when TurboTax didn't even try to prepare my Utah K-1 properly. I'm glad I checked it closely and noticed that it failed to carry over a $30k tax credit to my Utah Schedule K-1s (line 18, code AP).

TurboTax Business provides clear guidance for completing tax returns and is user-friendly. I have used it for many years. However, since last year, the Software Updater has not been working. I followed the troubleshooting instructions and even tried manually updating using the "Windows_PC_TurboTax_Business_Download" option, but it still did not work. It has been a very frustrating experience. At this point, I am unsure if I will continue using TurboTax Business. Hope that this issue can be resolved.

Turbo Tax got over their skis this year. I took as much time getting the program loaded and opened as I spent actually doing the taxes. This was a 1041. My 1040 was so bad I had to reenter the everything about 5 times. Also my 1040 did not load my previous year info because of the complications with this new format. I have used TT for many years and NEVER had a problem until this year.

Hello! I used TurboTax to file taxes for my small business, and it was relatively straightforward once I got bookkeeping in line. That's where much of the perks of TurboTax come in! However, an area for improvement would be in the help documentation for areas such as write-off categorization. Further, the UI is quite ugly and could certainly be improved upon.

Had a very difficult time editing form 1116. Each time I reviewed the whole return it created a new foreign tax entry. Deleting the excess was quite difficult. When will you include the South Carolina forms? Have used Turbotax since 2013, and will continue to do so.

Not optimum for a Qualified Disability Trust. QDT wasn't even a option to chose from as type of trust. Further, the software does not recognize that a QDT gets the personal income exemption, not the trust income exemption. Finally, the software allowed me to provide summary Form 8949 information, but did not produce a mailing (or even tell me where to mail) for the supporting documentation.

I find TurboTax essential when self-filing a business tax return. However, there are steps which I find very difficult to understand and complete; Balance Sheet, Income and Retained Earnings reconciliation. I find that amounts entered in the 'Step by Step' questions do not always transfer correctly to individual forms. There are times when the only option is to 'over ride' data which does not provide confidence that a return has been completed correctly.

I would give it 3.5 stars. Everything was okay if you are accustomed to using TurboTax, and tax preparation. It is not all that intuitive or easy to use for non accountants or those not experienced with tax preparation. You have to know your stuff. Then when I followed all the steps for signing form 8453-PE to be filed with my return, it did not appear in my final return that was filed. It showed on the attachments in TurboTax.

This is my first time using TT Business. I needed it for an irrevocable trust return and K-1. I was worried it would a lot less user-friendly than normal TT. But it was great. It focused on the Trust stuff and left all the other business complexities alone.
