I have two significant challenges with the Turbo Tax for Business software: (1) Why can't Turbo Tax make the software work the same way the individual product works, i.e., download 1099s from bank and brokerage accounts and populate appropriate forms; and (2) It is crime that Turbo Tax does not make its business software for a Mac. Any family LLC or partnership needs to file a Form 1065 and cannot use Turbo Tax if they work in a Mac environment.

The text in the Step-by-Step Interview process is not very user friendly. For example, the "Salaries and Wages" section under "Deductions" lets the user enter salary as an expense. But these entries do not add up to the actual total, which also includes the inuance premium the business pays to the employee. This important fact is not mentioned and can cause confusion.

Everything went good. For some reason when I view the pdf for the K1s that were generated, they don't show up on the computer, they show up as a blank page. When I go to print them out, they are able to print out. I'm not sure why it was showing up like that but it panicked me until I hit print and they were there. That's never happened before so that's why I didn't do 5 stars.

Product has a bug validated by 2nd level tech support: CA 568 capital account "other increases/decreases" suppressed when federal small partnership exemption is checked — blocks e-file Multi-member LLC, TY2025. When I check the small partnership exemption on the federal 1065 (Schedule B, Question 4), TurboTax Business correctly omits capital account data from the federal schedules K, L, and M. However, this also suppresses the "other increases/decreases" fields in the CA 568 Member Capital Account Analysis, producing incorrect ending capital balances on the state return. California does not honor the federal small partnership exemption and requires complete capital account data. There are no CA interview questions that allow these adjustments to be entered independently. Attempting to override the field in Forms Mode produces the error: "Sch K Line K(d) other increase/decrease should not be overridden and changed for Electronic Filing."

This version of TurboTax is not as friendly or intuitive as online versions. I wish it would give more thorough descriptions of things when you're trying to figure out if an item, purchase, etc falls under a specific category. I wish it used less tax or government jargon, or at least explained it better. The program also initially had an error. It would not let me add a partner to a partnership. The directions said to hit Add, Edit or Done, but there were no buttons on the entire screen besides Back or Done.

Very confused to use, not user friendly at all. There is a Farming issue bug needs to be fixed. Many people have the same problem, the system assumed the business is a FARM business, not sure what information the user provided caused this assumption, and there is way to tell the system otherwise, NO flag to un-check this assumption or guide to remove this problem. TurboTax really need to fix this issue.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. TAKES TOO LONG, IF YOU WANT HELP THEY WANT MORE MONEY. SUPPOSED TO BE A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE THEN HIRING A CPA BUT AT THE END IT ADDS UP. IF YOU WANT HELP YOU EITHER PAY FOR THE MORE EXPENSIVE SERVICE WHICH THEY KEEP CHARIGING MORE AND MORE EACH TIME YOU ADD MORE DOCUMENTS OR THEY REALIZE YOU MAKE MORE MONEY.

TurboTax made the partnership return process much easier than I expected. The step-by-step guidance was clear, the interview questions were easy to follow, and the review section helped catch issues before filing. It was especially helpful for entering investment income and checking the business information for Form 1065. Overall, the software was accurate, user-friendly, and saved me a lot of time. I had a very good experience and would use it again.

1. Initial issue installing state, had to engage support 2. I had interest income less than the deductible, TurboTax shown a negative taxable income causing the return to be rejected 3. Correcting the negative taxable income to -0- caused me to not be able to e-file I will be looking for something different for my 2026 reporting

Easy and straight forward as always. I think most people's taxes are way easier than mine, but they pay over a hundred dollars to even do personal taxes when they just have a W2 and simply want their money back. They only do this because they don't understand how simple TurboTax can make it for them.
