The jury remains out on my new Tempur-Pedic mattress. It replaced a hybrid from another manufacturer in its twelfth year of use that developed uncomfortable strike through to the quite firm support layers. The ProAdapt Hybrid was chosen simply because the in-store sample felt the most comfortable among the several hybrids and others on site. Despite the warning of the break-in requirement in the product literature, I found the first few days of use bordering on intolerable. With a week or two of additional use the mattress is becoming better to sleep on and I'm willing to withhold final judgement pending further break-in. I suspect my prior mattress was softer overall (and I'm older and creakier now), but I fondly recall the wonderful, enveloping support it provided during and after break-in. None of the in-store options at Mattress Firm offered this and, in the end, I may pursue adding a topper to try to recapture the feel of the prior mattress.

Perfect mattress, firm but comfortable. It gives the support you need, but with the softness all at the same time. The adjustable frame makes my life easier. I'm so glad I made this purchase.

Relative to other beds and based on timeframe (6mths as of nov 2022) proadapt med hybrid is the best bed for pressure relief with support that i have found. I dont like the slow sink of the all memory foam bed and this hybrid counters that effect nicely. I am side sleeper predominantly, 235 lbs and need some give in the bed w/o sinking my hips (hammock effect) this bed has performed very well to date. I changed my mattress protector and sheets to bamboo which help diminish any hot spots that I was experiencing with cotton sheets and the tempur mattress. Although i didnt want to pay this much for a bed .... thus far it has been a great purchase well worth the money if i can get 10 years out of it.

My husband and I had our old hybrid about 10 years and were beginning to experience back and neck pain. We purchased this mattress and immediately knew we made the right decision and our sleep improved greatly. There isn't anything I don't like about the mattress. However, my husband, who is heavier, says because the mattress conforms to your body, he tends to sink in more and when he wants to turn over he feels like he has to almost dig himself out. But after a couple of weeks he's adjusted and it's ok now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great night of sleep! Took about a week to get used to a memory foam mattress but now that I have I wouldn't go back. The Hybrid feature is great so you don't sink too far in and can get out of bed easily.

I use to wake up every morning with back pain. My first night sleep on my pro adapt mattress was very comfortable and NO back pain the next morning or since sleeping on the pro adapt. Love that the cover can be removed and washed. And it super cool, don't need fan on at night.

I've had this mattress for about 7 months now and my posture has gotten better as well. I would recommend for those who have only known old box springs, this will be wayyyy better.

I have had the new mattress, pillows and sheets now for about 30 days. So far I like it a lot, almost love but too soon to give it that. Humans spend a lot of time in bed and I have went with the cheap mattresses for over 50 years and almost got a sleep number bed, but after talking to people that have them, I realized that Tempur will be the better investment. I recommend to buy new sheets and pillows with a new mattress. AND get the mattress protector if you have pets that get on the bed (allowed or not) and kids, night #5 my dog tested it and boy was I feeling like a smart man. you will be the first to know if this bed doesn't hold up to the name. Bought this mattress with hopes of eliminating pain in my hips and my back. All it has done it made worse. I also wake up with numbness in my tailbone area and my entire back hurts. Cannot get comfortable and am unable to sleep for more than a few hours at a time on it. Also the mattress retains way too much heat regardless of room temperature. Will not be buying another Tempur pedic mattress and frankly can't wait to get rid of this one and find a different brand.

I feel like I am laying on a hard platform. It's uncomfortable and it feels no cooler than a regular mattress. I paid cash for the total purchase and we are thinking about taking it back. There has to be a better product because this mattress is terrible.
