I use this tape for everything! It is so dependable and ALWAYS comes off the roll easily without sticking to everything before it reaches the job for which it was intended. I make sure I always have it on hand, and have even given it to 11 girl friends as the little Christmas gift that each of our 12 Bunko Buddies gives to each other.

I bought this tape to secure typical brown moving boxes. The tape fails miserably and does not stick. I've gone through several roles, and always come back to boxes with the tape hanging off, after coming loose because it does not stick. This answers the question why, if you receive a box by mail, it is encased I'm the tape. It's an attempt to secure the package. I'm sure that sales are,high because you have to use so much for every box. It's a junky product.

At one time I purchased generic shipping tape only because of the high volume of shipping tape that I need and use. But the results of the generic tape were less than satisfactory and for secure hold, I would use twice as much tape. I switched to Scotch heavy duty shipping tape and now, every package is securely sealed and arrives intact without excessive tape. I am VERY pleased with the quality of the Scotch heavy duty shipping tape ~ I will never go back to generic shipping tape!

The dispenser could be better, but can be worked with after a little try and error. It does not take away from the usefulness of the tape itself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to review the Scott's heavy duty shipping packaging tape with dispenser in exchange for my honest review. As I taped my boxes it was a great stick to begin with. The tape dispenser helps guide the tape easily across and also cuts the tape easily. It was an easy glide across the box seams and then at the finish. It had a very strong hold from start to finish. The tape sticks well and doesn't peel off. It made taping boxes go by a lot faster and even when I pushed a lot on the seams that I have taped it did not give way. I love that this tape has a strong hold and was so simple to use.

The built in dispenser and cutter worked good. The cutting edge has many little teeth that allows for easy clean tears from the roll. This tape is great. I have never had any issue with 3M shipping or packing tape holding up to the rigors of shipping or moving. Having moved 10+ times in 17 years I understand the value in a high quality pack tape. Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape is the best. Even if it is a little more expensive than other tapes on the market the cost is easily justifiable.

The only thing I found I disliked at all, was the cutting edge did seem a little hard to cut the tape .I received this Scotch Packing Tape free and would purchase it in the future

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this heavy duty tape great for cardboard box packages because of its strength. Superior hold for cardboard and heavy box materials. Clear tape is see-through which is good to put over address labels too. The easy to dispense holder is a plus as well.
