Hello, we have been using this scotch heavy duty shipping tape for many years and we are very satisfied with it. We just have one concern that will make us still using it or not: is it made out of recycle plastic? how is 3m positioning its brand regarding the environment?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Tape is really the Mercedes Benz of all packing Tapes. The Strip is thick and the glue is super strong. It covers and holds boxes together in one pulled strip. And its guaranteed not opening up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At 63 years of age, I've sent my fair share of packages. I've struggled with masking tape, brown paper and string, glue, various forms of tape, so I was quite pleased, as the years passed to discover Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape. Not only is it easy to use, it performs exceptionally well. No matter the distance nor the carrier, since switching to Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape I have had no problems or complaints. This particular tape is also quite helpful when packing boxes around the house to store, move, or take to the consignment shop with items to sell. Whatever the job, Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape is the tape I choose. My only complaint is that Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape wasn't available sooner--it would have certainly saved me a lot of time, headaches, and frustation!

We were trying to figure out a way to hold this in place. The packing tape said "heavy duty". I grabbed a piece of this from the roll and low and behold it works wonderful. Saves us having to get a whole new laptop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a second grade teacher and buy several rolls of Scotch Packaging Tape for a variety of reasons. I use it to adhere name tags to desks, put up art projects on old brick walls in the hallway, and even for mending books! This is the only tape that will keep my students' art projects hanging on the wall. I love the stuff and would never begin the school year without it! Thanks for a great product!

I’ve always thought that this brand was really good, but this packaging tape is worse than regular tape. It doesn’t stick to anything except on its own sticky side. It does however stick to regular printer paper. Just not cardboard or anything else. Don’t waste your money to buy this tape if you need to tape down your boxes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A free roll of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape was sent to me for evaluation. It's the best packaging tape that I have ever used. The dispenser is easy to use and keeps the tape flat and straight while using it to seal boxes. I strongly recommend to tape and dispenser. They are both easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given a free sample from 3M of the Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape to evaluate. I was very impressed on how strong it was and even more so how super strong the holding power was of this tape. The dispenser is very handy and works great when applying the tape and when cutting the tape. I would definitely recommend it for any project or package where you need superior holding power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried overall 6 different brands of Packaging Tape for my Shipping Supplies of Boxes & re-inforcing bubble mailers. I personally feel this tape performed the BEST out of ALL the other brands. Easy to 'Start off' the roll, simple application to the boxes & holds up to everything (I have yet to have a buyer tell me that a box broke it's seal or the tape gave out/ ripped). Overall, EXCELLENT product, great value, too (you use less of it--you don't have to go over the same spot 2 to 3 times). Hope this helps you decide, Jecca A.

I bought this tape to secure typical brown moving boxes. The tape fails miserably and does not stick. I've gone through several roles, and always come back to boxes with the tape hanging off, after coming loose because it does not stick. This answers the question why, if you receive a box by mail, it is encased I'm the tape. It's an attempt to secure the package. I'm sure that sales are, high because you have to use so much for every box. It's a junky product.
