This stuff is great. It provides a light softening - and is not a heavy, sticky liquid like the old days. The scent is present, but not overpowering. My only complaint - and it's significant - is the bottle and cap. There's no pour spout and no handle - why?!? That actually makes it a bit tough to work with.

It doesn’t soften as well as my regular softener and it doesn’t smell. I love my towels to feel soft and smell fresh and clean, this doesn’t do it. I love Downy products but not this one. I would say try it if you don’t want that fabric softener smell. But as for me I will stick to my Downy fabric softener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy Rinse and Refresh in Cool Cotton, smells amazing. It is a light clean scent that is not overpowering. It does an amazing job at removing tough odors out of even the smelliest of workout clothes. I have this one sports bra and it always had a lingering funk to it. After a wash in this, I am able to wear it again.

In two separate illustrations you guys show this being used with a sort of flip top lid but in another pouring out of the middle like it’s a squeeze type lid. Want to help me out and explain how I can used this bottle unless I just unscrew the cap which then is hard to control the pour, especially with a full bottle because my lid has no perforations.

Applying this to the laundry really made a difference and made the clothes smell fresh. I like the scent and will definitely try this product again. It's definitely worth trying.
