It's a clear liquid you add either to the rinse aid dispenser or directly to the wash during the rinse cycle. It seems to refresh in the sense that it eliminates build up on your clothes. That also keeps clothes softer. I am pleased with how well it works especially on towels and bedding. I recommend this product to keep your clothes smelling fresher longer and feeling really clean.

Used this Downy Rinse and Refresh Cool Cotton and it left laundry smelling so fresh and clean! Not a masking cover up fresh smell either. A genuinely light, naturally clean smell. Not at all overpowering and my laundry is so soft! Very easy to use…. I used the same amount as I would with traditional fabric softener. Highly recommended.

It smells amazing when you're washing and drying your clothes. It really helps to remove odors from clothes that have grease, or other strong odors. If you're husband's or other family works somewhere, where no matter how many times you wash their clothes, they still smell, then you need to try this Downy Refresher! I would strongly suggest that you use the QR code located on the bottle for specific instructions, as they are not on the bottle itself. It simply tells you to add to your dispenser, but for those of us who don't have a dispenser, you don't know how much to use until you scan the QR code. Also, the black QR code doesn't work, but look for the white one in the purple part of the label.
