I love a fireplace but don't like the "old smoke" residual smell once the fire goes out. These work excellently in our fireplace with none of that occurring.

We purchased these before a recent VERY cold week of winter weather. We used these in our woodstove. They were excellent to use as a fire starter log and to supplement our firewood. Very easy to light and much longer burning than anticipated. Would definitely purchase again.

I bought a case each of Duraflame and Envirologs, and the Duraflame wins hands down. Not even a close competition. I carefully followed the instructions for each brand, as they are different, but despite my best efforts Duraflame wins by a country mile. Enviro-Log lights up good at first but quickly degrades to a very low flame unless you frequently poke at it. The whole point of these logs is to sit back and relax, right? Well you can?t do that with the Enviro-Logs. Plus, they smell like burning trash. I?m not kidding. A burning barrel of trash. The Duraflame on the other hand lights well, and produces a nice consistent flame for at least 3 hrs. No poking or prodding, and no stinky smell!

When you heat your home with wood, or even just supplement your conventional unit, and you get home from work tired and ready to just sit and decompress while watching the fire…this has you covered. Quickly lay a Duraflame in with a couple of logs in your stove or fireplace and light the wrapper on your way to the shower. When you get out, it will already have a good fire going and knocking the chill out of the air. We don’t use them every day, but when you just want to push the easy button, these Duraflame logs are the ticket. Sams has the best price around, and that helps make it easier to push that button more often.

These logs almost really last 3 hours. They start fairly fast and burn bright. They will keep your other wood burning even if a little wet. They can be a lot cheaper than other stores. Get them soon for they will sell out fairly quickly. Only once have I seen them on sale because the season was coming to a close and they had a few left/
