[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really enjoyed the JBL live flex, extremely comfortable. Easily synced to be devices and the app was easy to navigate. Used them across multiple devices including my work laptop. Great sound quality and noise background cancelations while on calls. My only negative is the fit in my ears, though the were comfortable the fit was not snug and they did fall out. My girlfriend had no such issue.

These earbuds barely lasted 4 hours of off and on listening to music. Plus, the charging case never tells me how much power is left. Maybe I got a bad set. Returning this set, maybe I'll reorder and try again. These fit in my ears for what I'm use them for and seem comfortable. But I have not had them for very long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me the JBL Live Flex earbuds have been the very first open ear/stick earbuds that I have used. At first I really wasn't sure what to expect and to be honest I was a little skeptical due to the open design but after using these for over a week everyday I was pleasantly surprised. I have to say that these are the most comfortable earbuds that I have worn. I wore these for 8+ hours a day for a week while working and not once did my ears hurt. I also wore these a couple times while taking my dog for a walk and the open design makes it way easier to hear my surroundings and it also allows me to talk to my wife as we walk. They also feel very secure in my ears as well. The open design does have some drawbacks though. The noise canceling isn't nearly as good as the JBL Live Pro 2. You will still get some background noise bleeding through. So for traveling I will likely still use my Live Pro 2 earbuds. I was really impressed by how well these sounded though. I listen to a lot of hip hop, reggae, and rock. I was pretty impressed with how the guitars and cymbals sound. While the low bass lacks compared to my Live Pro 2 it's surprisingly good and the Live Flex actually has better sounding highs and mids than the Live Pro 2 earbuds. Even with less bass I would have to say that these do sound better than my Live Pro 2 earbuds. The guitars really ring compared to the Live Pro 2 and the mids sound much cleaner. These also have spatial audio, and the little bit of content that I listened to with spatial audio sounded really good. Battery life has been as advertised, I typically work 3-4 hours, take a lunch, then work the remaining 4-5 hours. I let the earbuds charge while I'm having lunch which is usually around 20-30 minutes and that is enough to last the rest of the day even with ANC turned on. I was easily getting around 4 hours after only 15 minutes of charging. I haven't taken too many phone calls with these earbuds but one that I took, I was listening to music while working on my PC, my wife called and when I answered the earbuds switched immediately to my phone. The whole process was seamless and after I hung up they switched back to the music playing on my PC. Plus the call quality was crystal clear and my wife had no idea I was using my earbuds. One of my favorite features of all the JBL headphones I have used has been the JBL Headphone app. The app has a great 10 band EQ and the Personi-Fi test does a great job at tailoring your earbuds to how you hear music. The app also has a setting to limit the max volume to protect your hearing, which can be turned on or off. Overall these are great earbuds but they might not be for everyone or every situation. If you do a lot of traveling and want to only hear your media. I wouldn't get open stick/ear earbuds but if you want great sound with the ability to clearly hear the world around you. These are a fantastic choice.

Equally if not more impressive is how that experience is further enhanced by the "spacial sound" feature which replicates open-back headphones by imaging the audio around and in front of the listener instead of simply inside the ear. The result is a more realistic interaction with others during calls and web meetings without any interference from outside distractions. Meanwhile, I'm able to direct OK google on my android device to coordinate calls, update me on scheduled events, and set my alarm when traveling. Music quality is especially impressive through the 12mm neodymium hi-fidelity speakers. Bass response carries a resounding and detailed presence for classic jazz and various electronic genres. The spacial sound recreated the orchestral atmosphere for classical favorites like Bach Cantatas and Tchaikovsky's Serenade. And, the hands free voice commands allowed me to select playlists from my Spotify app through OK google on my android devices. Also on the topic of musicality, the JBL headphones app, which can be installed through a QR code located in the quick start guide inside the box, allows customization of EQ settings, noise cancelling, and other audio settings. The "perfect fit" design delivered effortless placement of the ear buds in the ear without needing to fuss with individual tip adapters. After following the simple instructions in the quick start guide on secure placement, I have had no issues with them losing their hold. These ear buds survived rigorous real world applications and surpassed the highest expectations. I would highly recommend them for users who want a class-leading combination of technological readiness sound quality along with solid reliability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Live Flex earbuds are very interesting in the world of earbuds. Interesting in that they are an open design earbud with noise cancelling. I have used them mostly for working/focusing as I have difficulty getting a good seal since there is no rubber surround. But that is ok because when I am working, I like noise cancelling but still want to hear what is going on around me. I also dont have the occlusion effect of rubberized tips which is great for long study/work sessions. I do love them for the times when I am working because they will filter out low frequency ambient noise in the room such as air conditioners, fans, humming of computer etc. I tried using them for travel but it didn't work well for me. There was too much airplane noise coming through since there is'nt a rubber surround to provide passive noise filtration. A closed rubberized earbud tip might be better suited for air travel. Even though they don't create a seal per se, they do have great base response. The app is a definite must to achieve the best sound because the EQ works well. The hearing test was difficult for me to discern but the EQ adjustments are fantastic in dialing in the sound suited to your sound liking. There is also a locating the earbuds feature in the app too which is pretty cool. The quality of these earbuds are fantastic! Soft touch plastics, rubberized interior, and magnetic earbud holders in the case makes for a nice, and overall high end experience. I haven't used them for working out because they fit too loosely in my ears. I'm not sure they would stay in my ears with all of the bouncing about on a treadmill. There is also Voice Assistance perference settings in the app too (Siri vs Amazon Alexa, no Google). There is a lot of features in the app...just download it and play with it. Overall, these are great ear buds but make sure you prefer an "open" design vs a closed (rubber tips) design ear bud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I loved about these headphones was the case, allowing convenient charging on the fly in a sleek storage compartment. After that, I appreciated the uncomplicated pairing and interactive stem touch keys that have an audible “beep” when activated. Of course the sound quality was excellent as is to be expected from JBL. Unfortunately, the headphones aren't without fault. The biggest drawback for me was their bulky size. They really don't fit in my ear that well. They even fell out during some light activity. Bummer. I also had some issue, perhaps no fault of the headphones, with phone call answering and mic issues. My phone was acting wonky with the speaker phone/JBL hierarchy and ultimately I ended up having to go straight to my phone, old school like, to continue my conversations. Bottom line, very good for sitting idle relaxing with some tunes or an audiobook, but maybe not the best for someone on the go.

I have bought JBL in the past, so for the price I expected better. The sound is quiet. Setting up an EQ that sounds even halfway decent was more difficult than it should be. I wasn't expecting over ear headphone quality but these earbuds are pretty lacking on both the decibel level and overall sound quality. Noise cancellation isn't great but was about what I expected. Build quality seems to be as good as I would expect. I'm not returning the product but I wouldn't buy again unless deeply discounted.
