Hello, arms are simple, but one must go UNDER the sofa edge. The armrest on the chaise side goes into the brackets, but the armrest on the sofa side must go under the sofa brackets. Please watch video for help or reach out to us at samsclub&#64;abbysonliving.com - The Abbyson Team
