First time this has happened to me and I am perplexed. I went into our pantry (a cool/dry storage space in our basement) to grab a new jar of strawberry jam. It popped open with that "pop-woosh" sound of a new jar breaking its seal. But when I put the jam on my bagel I realized it was not red but brown. Mind you, it's close to the expiration date but it isn't expired yet. We definitely buy in bulk to save money and utilize our pantry storage, while we get close to expiration dates but I have never seen anything like this looking so spoiled even though it's within the best by date.

I just don’t like that it has high fructose corn syrup as the second ingredient. And then corn syrup as the third. Making it a not so healthy choice for jam. :/

I have loved your strawberry jam and jelly my whole life what happened it's just terrible you made a change it ruined it and I will have to find a new brand. someone should be fired they just ruined you. Hope you get your brain back someday. Maybe I will just break out grand moms recipe. 0 stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect jam for toast or crackers! My picky kids are big fans of this strawberry jam on their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Perfectly sweet and a nice texture. The size of the jar is great and will last a long time!

I feel like the people who have written reviews in the past are a bit thick. If you want chunks of fruit buy the preserves. If you don't want the wet consistency then don't buy jelly which is made from juice only. I love jam. made from real fruit without all those weird chunks of fruit. Mine spreads beautifully and evenly across the bread which I love.

Very surprised, Smucker Straberry jam used To have a lot of strawberries. Used to buy quite frequently and thought it was great. Just purchased a large jar and I bet there is less than a dozen strawberries in the whole jar. 90 to 95% gelatin . Thumbs down , going to throw the jar away.

For years we have bought 2 or more of the 32oz size. over the last couple of months the texture and spreadability has become more waxy. Has the ingredient formulation changed for the worse? We prefer the preserves; but, our local stores only handle the small jars. Hoping it will get better.

I was shocked to find other brands that are at the same price point but do not have high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient. In your brand, it is the second ingredient. This hyper-processed sweetner is found to be linked to overeating because it doesn't make you feel satisfied as good healthy foods do. This contributes to obesity and the onset of diabetes II. Is it really not possible to make jam without it? If it has quality ingredients, it ought to be better than good.
