I've read the reviews and the corporate responses. Smucker's has been selling jam since the 1920's. When I was a kid, they never used High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) in any of their products. They sure do now. When the Smucker's Corporate "Consumer Relations" person states that they haven't changed the recipe for their jam products that is a plain bald faced lie. They most certainly have.

Used to love Smuckers strawberry jam but they have definitely changed something with the recipe and they're not up front about it. There is way less fruit in the jam than it used to be. I guess it makes it cheaper but you're losing me as a customer unfortunately.

It is sad that a brand like Smucker's contributes to the health crisis in this country with high fructose corn syrup as a second ingredient. I was just eating Strawberry Jam and had to toss it. Sugar is bad enough but adding high fructose corn syrup just makes your product so harmful. I hope more people learn more about these harmful products which appear healthy. I expected more from your brand.

It is sweet and so fully of real strawberry flavor. There is just the right amount of fruit bits mixed in that give it texture and interest. This is one of my favorite jellies now.

I was shocked to find other brands that are at the same price point but do not have high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient. In your brand, it is the second ingredient. This hyper-processed sweetner is found to be linked to overeating because it doesn't make you feel satisfied as good healthy foods do. This contributes to obesity and the onset of diabetes II. Is it really not possible to make jam without it? If it has quality ingredients, it ought to be better than good.

I, like so many reviewers on here can easily tell that the product IS different. It is not helpful, and in fact it angers me, that you continue to claim you haven't changed the recipe. (Little or no fruit pieces, hard to spread, diluted taste). New Coke was a mistake, and it didn't last long. You should return to the old formula before you lose lifelong customers. And at least don't lie after reviewers point it out.

I buy this strawberry jam by the case. I have for ages. This time I get my case and ugh! What happened? I seriously had to turn the jar around to read the label to make sure it was my Smuckers. There are no strawberries and the jel tastes like chemically flavored filler. The texture is not even the same. I think that one single strawberry was used in my 48oz jar. I am heartbroken, as I use this on everything (pancakes, toast, biscuits, cake and crepe filling, homemade ice cream.....) I did open a 2nd jar to taste test, just in case, and no, it's a nasty new profit saving recipe. Please listen to your customers---you are losing money if your customers don't like your changed product. PLEASE go back to the old yummy jam we all fell in love with. Have a big ad campaign so we'll know because I will not be buying any Smucker's products unless it changes back. BTW, when I returned my jam, the gals at the customer service tasted it and also commented that it 'used' to be so good and the new jam is not.

I had been using a different product for many years, because my husband does the shopping. Running out of that brand sent me to the store to get more, and I came home with Smuckers strawberry jam. I am sold! The flavor is more like the strawberry I want! I will continue to buy Smuckers. I understand you also have sugar free, my husband will love that! It even is yummy on vanilla ice cream.

Very surprised, Smucker Straberry jam used To have a lot of strawberries. Used to buy quite frequently and thought it was great. Just purchased a large jar and I bet there is less than a dozen strawberries in the whole jar. 90 to 95% gelatin . Thumbs down , going to throw the jar away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only strawberry jam we eat at home. My kids love it and I love the ingredients. I like this big jar as I don’t have to repurchasing that often. My son loves his p&j with this strawberry jam. Not to sweet and not to tart. Just perfect.
