This is the first electric snow thrower I've owned. My impression over the years was that small machines like this were anemic. But last year we bought a house with a large deck. After shoveling it for a year, I decided to give a small machine a chance. This snow thrower has done a good job getting the snow off the deck. Actually my wife uses it on the deck while I'm using my gas machine to do the driveway area. She finds it easy to use, even with 8 to 10 inches of fairly heavy snow. I've tried it myself on heavier snow. When the auger slows down, you merely stop for the second or so the it takes for the auger to get back up to speed, then continue. Works well. I was quite amazed at how good a job it does on our deck.

Blows snow 30 ft. Must have cord large enough for maximum 3% drop in voltage. Include wire from outlet to panel. (Google voltage drop). I use a 4500W gas generator for all my electric garden tools. (Only one 4 cyc gas engine to worry about) My cord is a 50 foot #12 with good quality cord ends. If the cord ends are loose, replace them.

Seems nice at first then you find out the shoot won't stay on. It's a poor design. Motor seems powerful enough for my needs. I just need to figure out out to keep the shoot from flying off. The set screw is a joke. An example of you get what you pay for.

I haven't had much snow to try it out on. The light snow we had kind of drifted back over the previous swath. I had to length the handle because the initial settings were for someone shorter than me. the value is great for the small of shoveling I have to do

I live in Michigan and we get a lot of snow. My driveway is small so I don't need much, however when we finally get enough snow for the snow blower to be used it didn't work. The part where the snow comes out kept popping off. So I returned it and got my money back. I wouldn't recommend

Bought this for my husband for Christmas, we live in Calgary and get a lot of snow. We also have a double driveway on a slight hill. He says it works good. You have to be careful because it's a plastic blade but he says it does the job. Doesn't work too well on snow that's really packed down or a very large pile (he'd lift it a bit to get the top half then go normally through the rest). Takes a little getting used to having to deal worth the cord UT he says he likes it and he gets the driveway done in about 15 minutes instead of 45 so good purchase for us for sure.

I bought this because our snow is a bit heavier and wetter than some places but my back won't let me shovel for long. It works but it gets clogged easily and takes a bit of effort to get through the heavier snow even when its just fresh. Its way better than shoveling but I am a bit disappointed at the amount of power it delivers. The snow doesn't move out at a velocity that reaches far enough and so just on my driveway I end up going over snow I have already moved....still better than not having it.

It doesn't handle the 8” of snow that the manual says it does. I wouldn't use with more than four inches of snow. Poorly made or maybe just poorly chosen hardware to go with it- on second use the one of the screws that holds the shaft where snow blows our broke off. Would not recommend this product

Everything works fine except the chute. It is held on by 5 tabs. You have to insert all the tabs and then twist the chute to "lock" it in. I use "lock" very loosely here. The combination of the motor vibration and the vibration from pushing it around caused the chute to twist back and unlock throwing it off the machine every couple of minutes of use.

Only buy if you want to be electrocuted multiple times
