I purchased to use on my small concrete driveway. It is about 100 feet long and 2 cars wide. Was simple to use first time out this week. Easy to run. Had about 2" of snow earlier this week so pulled it out to try. My problem is that it would hardly blow the snow more than about 12". Just enough to pile up for the adjacent run. Maybe it is just me. I noticed when I pushed it real fast, it would blow harder but also blow out the front and not just the chute. Any thoughts? Is it the blower or me? Was easier than shoveling but did not seem very efficient.

I bought the Snow Joe Ultra 18-Inch 13-Amp Electric Snow Thrower mostly to get through pack snow at the end of the driveway. It has to work hard, but it gets through it. The throat fills up with wet snow and it doesn't throw more than 2 meters, but compared to shoveling, it does make the job faster and easier. I don't expect the machine to last more than one or two winters, but for the price that's good enough. Plus, it's light-weight and electric, so it can be stored in the house for easier access than a gas snow blower. If I were to upgrade, I'd go with a battery charged model over a gas powered machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to assemble, use and effective. the small size allows you to move it easily in large, medium and small areas. It give you a great finish look around the house :) price is great for this strong machine. the only annoying thing is the long electrical cord which has to follow the machine but that is ok when I think of the alternative high price gas snow removal! I am happy with it since I use when needed only after storm or in the weekend.

I really enjoy this new snowblower. It's not industrial and I don't think it would go through piles and piles of snow but for the price I paid, it really does the trick and I'd definitely recommend it. Easy to put together and very easy to use! Definitely my best purchase this winter!!!

We weren't sure this would work for the variety of snow we get here in Alaska. I'm happy to report that it handled 6” of wet snow like a champ! We don't have a ton of space to clear, so the extension cord isn't an issue. This snow blower, though … seems to be the real deal and a heck of a lot cheaper than we expected for this type of machine. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

Outstanding! It cleared my driveway in just a few minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using it for 6 times so far and am happy with it. There is always rooms for improvement of course. I would like the wheels to be more sturdy and bigger. As well the turning of the chute direction be more smoother. I understand the "fun/challenge" of hauling the electrical line before my purchase. Overall, it is a good product worth the money. Thanks for the opportunity to write this comment.

This bad boy has already paid for itself! This crazy midwest winter would have broke my and my husband's back if we didn't have Joe to help us out. More power than I expected. Has powered thru most of the snow we've had this winter. Only thing that could be engineered a bit better would be where the power cord plugs in. It'd be nice if it locked in. Other than that Great snow blower!

Item was purchased through Walmart.com. They sell them for Snow Joe. I assembled the unit very well (if I say so my self). I barely started plowing and the snow chute popped up except for the one side that it was screwed down. I am sure that I had it assembled correct. I did reassemble snow chute two more times - same consequence. Walmart did take it back and I am assuming I will get a credit as soon as it gets back to Snow Joe.

There is a LOT of plastic. My first use was the morning after a three inch storm. It blew the snow pretty well, until I got to areas that the snow had been blown onto (I have a very wide driveway), and the heavy snow clogged the chute, and then actually pushed the chute off of the blower. I feel like the connection between the chute and the blower could be a little more substantial than the tiny plastic slide points.
