Great little snow thrower

Product easy to assemble - even in cold. SJ618E works wonderfully. Light, but powerful. I can't pull ignition string on gas engine. I have electric lawnmower, electric chainsaw. So this is wonderful. I can get snow out of my entire driveway - what a huge help. It helps to have experience with electric cord handling, from summertime tools - and this little snowthrower works great. 13 Amp power is enough for my use, and doesn't cause electrical problems of too much electric power draw from my house. I am so pleased - I can remove snow from my driveway (concrete) and live my life!!!

Great machine for medium snow removal around house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to assemble, use and effective. the small size allows you to move it easily in large, medium and small areas. It give you a great finish look around the house :) price is great for this strong machine. the only annoying thing is the long electrical cord which has to follow the machine but that is ok when I think of the alternative high price gas snow removal! I am happy with it since I use when needed only after storm or in the weekend.

Reasonable for the price

This Snow Joe is only good for clearing lite/drier snow not heavier wet snow that we often have in Michigan. Also I had to put three additional self-tapping screws in the chute assembly, one screw on the side of the tube-shaped assembly was not doing the job. There is a design engineer at Snow Joe that must have been last in his/her class. I would recommend a coat of cooking spray to prevent a snow and ice buildup in the chute. I realize it would increase the cost a bit but the proper gauge 50 ft. electrical cord could be included. All in all the blower performed well for the price in drier snow conditions.

A great small snow blower requiring cautious use

This snow blower starts easily and can blow the snow under 2-3 inches. However, one should not be too ambitious trying to move the ice patches under the snow. The blade is made of hard plastic which could be chipped off. There were many reviewers commenting about the snow blower Shute easily falling off. I used three metal sheet screws to strength the attachment. It works great. Unfortunately, with a chip in the blade, it is uncertain whether the blower will perform well at the next snow.

Good unit for lighter snow

It took about 10 minutes to assemble from opening the box. There is a screw to secure the chute it was loose in my box not in the parts bag. This unit is not as powerful as a gas powered option. I used in 8-10 inches of snow and this unit could not handle it. I would say 4-6 inches max of snow for this machine.

Hope it will meet my needs.

I purchased to use on my small concrete driveway. It is about 100 feet long and 2 cars wide. Was simple to use first time out this week. Easy to run. Had about 2" of snow earlier this week so pulled it out to try. My problem is that it would hardly blow the snow more than about 12". Just enough to pile up for the adjacent run. Maybe it is just me. I noticed when I pushed it real fast, it would blow harder but also blow out the front and not just the chute. Any thoughts? Is it the blower or me? Was easier than shoveling but did not seem very efficient.

Total satisfaction.

My wife and I assembled this blower without a problem. After assembly, and with some instruction, my wife, at 83 years of age, took it out on our deck and proceeded to shovel it clean. You can see the good job the machine did and the smile on my wife's face. Her comment was, "I don't have to lift another shovel full of snow"

LOVE IT!!

My sister bought this Snow Joe for me as an early Christmas Gift on black Friday and with it being so cheap we were skeptic on how well it would work. Well, this Snow Joe was the little engine that could. I have used it twice so far at about 1-2 hour intervals and cleared my drive way of about 15*30 feet with about a foot - foot 1/2 of heavy snow.

Great little snowblower

My Nephew is using this for the first time in the snow, here is PA, in early February 2021. The snow is heavy and high. He has gotten through this with this smaller snowblower. He is the one who told me to write a review. He said that he pushed it through the heavy snow and it never overheated and it picked up the snow and blew it where he wanted it. He had to push hard, but it did a great job.

This product is amazing!

This is absolutely amazing! We just used it in 8-10" of wet snow with complete ease. I am beyond impressed with this product! The only thing that can get annoying is getting the electric cord out of the way but it's worth it if you are looking for a more affordable option than a gas blower.
