No longer a lean meat!

So much fat/grease now! This used to be a much leaner meat, with so little fat that it did not require draining. The 4 star reviews on this product are from when it was a 92% or 93%. Now this isn't any better than what we can get at Wal-Marti. It has just been downgraded within the last few months. Not a fan.

TOO MUCH disgusting, chewy, stringy, fatty gristle

We used to LOVE Sam’s Club ground beef, because of the quality & because of the price. Something is WAY different now; things have changed drastically! We just can’t eat it anymore. It seems as if their grinder isn’t working properly, or the setting isn’t at the correct setting. The meat is tough and the amount of stringy, fatty, hard & chewy bits throughout make it inedible! It’s DISGUSTING & extremely disappointing because I keep going back and hoping that it was just a fluke, but after purchasing this several times and having the same outcome….we’ve moved on to another store’s brand! And thank goodness! No more fatty, hard gristle when I bite into tacos, hamburgers, etc. We’ve wasted so much money in the past year only to be disappointed over & over. DO BETTER!!!!

Unfamiliar taste to us.

Usually get our hamburger from locker so we don't buy much hamburger in stores but grabbed this as a time savor that day & it tasted unusual to us. Don't know how to describe it. Was not old or rancid taste. Smelled & looked good. The taste was a processed taste. Perhaps somerhing to preserve it?

Artificial ground beef

I recently bought ground beef from Sam’s Club, and honestly, I was really disappointed. The texture felt off—almost artificial and not like real ground beef at all. It didn’t have that natural consistency you expect, and even the taste was noticeably different. It just didn’t seem fresh or authentic. Definitely not what I was expecting, and I probably won’t be purchasing it again.

Flavor not for us

The first time I ever purchased. Ewe. Tastes terrible. It was pretty in color and fresh. It jist tastes like terrible inexpensove meat. Will not purchase again. It made me wesry of purchasing hamburger on sale at other local supermarkets. Nothing tastes like this I have tried. Very disappointed. We all have our own tastebuds, genetics and what we are used to. My fsmily does not care for this at all.

Gristle and even bone!

We have bought this product for years, but the last two batches of this ground beef have had lots of gristle and even some bone bits in them. Almost every bite has gristle. Sams needs to check their ground beef providers and make sure their packages are gristle and bone free. If someone breaks a tooth on bone in Sam’s Club ground beef, there may be a lawsuit.

Something has changed

We've bought Sam's Club ground beef for years. Last week we bought a package to make burgers and had to throw them all out due to a weird chemical taste. Thought it was just a bad package, so bought another one yesterday and cooked up taco meat tonight and same thing. It's disgusting. Not sure what they're doing different, but avoid this stuff at all costs. Complete waste of money. (I'm not the only one complaining. I've seen dozens of other bad reviews with the same problem in the last two weeks.)

Continually get nearly expired 4 curbside-Done!

The date of packaging was Aug 22. It expired after Aug 24. I ordered online for curbside pickup. This has happened a few times and I'm no longer going to buy fresh meats from Sam's Club. I can't afford to keep throwing away $20 of expired meats because I don't expect meats I buy to expire in two days after purchase. I'm tired of pickers grabbing the oldest meats for my curbside pickup. I have this problem with no other grocery stores in the area. Typically, those are good for 5-7 days after purchase while I often get 2 days with Sam's. I'm done with this.

Tough and chewy

How can ground beef be tough and chewy!!! I bought 3 packages in November…all of them are tough and chewy with gristle…ugh! We have used it for taco meat, soup, and meat loaf…it is tough and chewy any way it is cooked. We have been getting all our meet from Sams for years and it has never been like this.

The new grocery return policy

Purchased when I visited the store back in January, froze it to cook for a later date. I took it out the freezer on March 7th and thawed through 24 hr refrigeration, by the time I was ready to season the ground meat it was totally brown all around and just the inside was pink. I didn’t want to take a chance because of the smell so I called Sam’s immediately and was informed that you have 7 days to return a grocery (meat) item. Basically what I am getting at is, if you’re not going to cook the meats you purchase within 7 days don’t buy. I think it’s crazy, because not everybody grocery shop by the day I mean it is a bulk store.
