How can ground beef be tough and chewy!!! I bought 3 packages in November…all of them are tough and chewy with gristle…ugh! We have used it for taco meat, soup, and meat loaf…it is tough and chewy any way it is cooked. We have been getting all our meet from Sams for years and it has never been like this.

The date of packaging was Aug 22. It expired after Aug 24. I ordered online for curbside pickup. This has happened a few times and I'm no longer going to buy fresh meats from Sam's Club. I can't afford to keep throwing away $20 of expired meats because I don't expect meats I buy to expire in two days after purchase. I'm tired of pickers grabbing the oldest meats for my curbside pickup. I have this problem with no other grocery stores in the area. Typically, those are good for 5-7 days after purchase while I often get 2 days with Sam's. I'm done with this.

We have bought this product for years, but the last two batches of this ground beef have had lots of gristle and even some bone bits in them. Almost every bite has gristle. Sams needs to check their ground beef providers and make sure their packages are gristle and bone free. If someone breaks a tooth on bone in Sam’s Club ground beef, there may be a lawsuit.

I bought this hamburger July 9, 2024 at around 7pm. They had just brought it out from the back. I took it home and put it in the fridge until I could repackage it the next day. The sell by date on the package was July 22. When I got to it on Wednesday, July 10 it had turned brown. It was still pink on the inside so I went ahead and repackaged into 1 lb portions and froze all but one. On Monday July 15, 2024 the one that had been in the refigerated smelled horrible. So bad that the stench could be detected 30 feet away. I threw it out. Today July 17, 2024 I thawed (in the fridge) one of the frozen units hoping that it fared better since I repackaged it the day after I bought it. Nope. It Stunk! What a waste of $22.

I recently bought ground beef from Sam's Club, and honestly, I was really disappointed. The texture felt off—almost artificial and not like real ground beef at all. It didn't have that natural consistency you expect, and even the taste was noticeably different. It just didn't seem fresh or authentic. Definitely not what I was expecting, and I probably won't be purchasing it again.

This delivered a few days ago. Decided to portion pack %26 freeze. Less than 48 hours, the meat was already brown. Opened it anyway and pulled it apart to discover normal pink meat underneath, and then the smell hit me. OMG! What is that smell? Threw it all out and got a refund. I see nothing has changed with this meat according to the comments. Sam's Club, this is UNACCEPTABLE. WHY DO YOU KEEP SELLING IT???

I was making meatballs and it was tough. I might have gotten a bad batch normally it is very good.

Meat is tough and dry. Very chewy. Not tender and juicy!

This ground beef turned brown and gross in less than 24 hrs!!

A decent value and taste when I can’t make my butcher.
