MM used to select great beef, but every bite I am taking of my chili has tiny ground up gristle chunks and it’s incredibly rubbery with hardly any flavor. I bought this $20 pack of meat because I wanted GOOD chili, instead of using the “junk” tube meat I found on markdown at the local grocer. I wish I had made my chili with the cheaper meat! I am sorely disappointed with the quality of this and will not buy it again.

Not as lean

I've purchased this 88% ground beef in the past and never had it taste as bad as this last time I purchased it. It tasted metallic and like chemicals. I reached out to Sam's Club in Denton, TX about this, and they never responded. I won't buy this again. It was so bad that we had to throw most of it away.

Sams Club packaged ground beef used to be far superior quality, no more. Recent batches are far more expensive, a much higher fat content and had numerous bone chips. Very concerning. Will no longer purchase this. Sams has severely hurt their reputation by selling such an inferior and concerning product. Unfortunate. Cant believe this passes US health standards.

I was so happy to find these large packages of 88% ground beef. Enough fat for flavor, but a healthier mix and easy to cook with. BUT, after buying 3 or 4 packages, at different times, we have not had even ONE MEAL without BONE fragments in it. Once would be an "oh, it happens' moment, but EVERY package so far has had them. I cannot save on ground beef and then spend it at the dentist. Too Bad....but we will NOT be buying this again.

Normal hamburger taste

I don't leave reviews very often but felt compelled to write a review on the ground beef after the last few purchases. We've been buying the ground beef for years and never had a problem until recently. The beef now tastes and smells like chemical (almost a bleach-like taste). Also, the beef used to last around a week and now turns brown within a day or two. I'm not sure what they have done but I will definitely not be purchasing the ground beef anymore.

I have purchased the 90/10 version of Sam’s ground beef for years with complete success until the last 6 months. Now whatever I try to fix with the meat comes out chewy and very off putting. I waited a couple of months to try again and my next purchase had the unpleasant chewiness too. So no more ground beef from Sam’s for me.
