First off, this fridge is amazing! I am beyond pleased and so excited that I was able to get this. The delivery and installation was easy also. I have needed a new fridge for almost a year. I chose this fridge for several reasons. It is very sleek, modern, and sophisticated at the same time. The black stainless steel is beautiful and does not show smudges or fingerprints- it is so easy to clean too! It is able to hold everything I need and then some. I even have room in the freezer to add more if needed which is a nice change. I also love the recessed handles in the doors. I actually love the design more than I thought I would. The controls are easy to read and use. This fridge reminds you if you've left the door(s) open, or didn't put the ice bucket back correctly. Very nice feature. My food stays fresh longer with this fridge. Produce, milk, everything. My produce doesnt turn slimy after two days. I do use special produce bags to help, but in my old fridge I would only get 2 extra days. Now, some last a week or 2. I love that I am saving money!The only con is that it freezes too well! I am still trying to figure out how to lower the temp. Right now, I clean the ice bucket out every 1 to 2 weeks to avoid having a frozen "block" of ice in the bucket. It is a nice change not having to worry about our food being cold enough. I am very, very happy with this. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very beautiful, sleek fridge! No handles that stick out, just a clean, smooth finish. The Stainless Steel color is gorgeous and I love the fingerprint free coating. This is 5 to 6 cu ft larger than our old one. I stock both sided and still have room for more! I love the adjustable shelves, the sleek modern look as well as how well it works. It almost works too well! We haven't figured out "how to keep the freezer freezing so well," and the fridge keeping everything so ice cold! The main thing I miss is having the ice and water available from the door. It took way too long for me to remember this and stop going to the door to fill up!

I wanted to love this fridge… it is the only side by side model that isn’t stainless steel and doesn’t have an ice maker on the front. But all the other negative reviews are right. The veggie drawer freezes all my veggies. Anything in the back of the fridge gets frozen too. But the door items are too warm (my cream cheese is always soft). And the ice maker makes cubes but also ice shavings so I have to defrost it regularly or it gets full of the shavings.

after about a month, this model refrigerator broke and the panel is now flashing with error codes. we waited about a full week before buying groceries and now the refrigerator is full of stakes, fresh seafood and perishable food/ items. now we have to throw it all away. not sure when the technician will arrive and no idea if we have to wait months for parts!!!

Yes, it was actually from 1991 and finally stopped cooling a couple of months ago. GE doesn't make them like that anymore. After performing our research/due diligence, we decided to purchase the side-by-side Samsung. The black stainless steel is a great look and it only cost slightly more than the standard stainless steel. It is a large fridge but extremely quiet. Definitely be certain to check the dimensions to make sure it will fit where it will be installed if this is replacing a refrigerator in your kitchen. The monitoring through via the Wi-Fi app is great as it allows changing the temps by remote and can also alert the owner when a door is opened. The built-in controls are located on the right side of the door frame and display the current status of the fridge and freezer. We love the digital temperature readouts for the refrigerator and freezer. There are several storage bins on the inside of each of the fridge and freezer doors to allow immediate access to often used items. Shelves are not adjustable, except for one in the freezer which is only two position. Overall, it is a beautiful refrigerator. We give it 5 stars based on the product itself. However, I'm not sure if anyone else experienced the headache with the removal of the protective plastic. I told the techs that dropped it off not to worry and that I would handle it. I thought it would be easy to just tear it off myself; man I was wrong!!! There were plastic remnants hanging off the edges everywhere and when I tried to remove them it just got worse. I had to spend over an hour using a razor blade to try to cut it off cleanly. Still not perfect and I can see where there is still plastic is jammed in the seams of the doors. All this being said, it is a great refrigerator for the size, capabilities, and price.

But the truth is that it surprised me in every way, it is a very spacious very spacious refrigerator. It is very easy to handle and more with the application, it is too easy to understand. The size of the freezer is incredible, it has many compartments and it is very easy to organize all my frozen foods and meats, and the ice dispenser is of a very good size, it makes them very fast and of a standard size. The drawers in the refrigerator area despite being only 2 are spacious. It is very easy to clean from the outside, very little marks are marked but when cleaning them with a simple cloth it is impeccable. The size of the refrigerator in general is high but not very wide that is good in my case since my kitchen is not very big and the less width my kitchen looks more spacious and with more space that I like a lot because the previous refrigerator I had it was very wide. Anyway, what I can simply say is that I really liked my new refrigerator and it arrived at the best time since the previous one I had was already in bad condition. The people who brought it in installed it very quickly and made it ready to use. The LED light is very clear and bright that's great so I can see everything with excellent visibility. The alarm is good to be aware of children who last a long time seeing that they are going to take out and eat. The app is very useful since with it I was able to regulate the temperature and turn off the part of the ice as it was full.

The styling is great very contemporary. The fingerprint proof stainless finish is a great improvement over our older stainless fridge that always seemed to have handprints. I just wanted something with a smooth front. This fridge has a lot of room and does a great job as a refrigerator and freezer. I love how bright the interior LED lighting is and also the 2-Minute Door Alarm, that lets you know when the door has been open for too long. I also downloaded the Samsung SmartThings App to control the temperature and monitor your refrigerator remotely. It is kinda cool but not something I will probably use often. I could see it being useful for someone with kids so that they could get alerts when the door is left open. Overall, I am very happy with this appliance. The only thing to note is that it does collect fingerprints.
