if I was asked a month ago, I would have said i love it but my past 4 to 5 orders have been trying, the salt is either completely water logged or clumped from being water logged with dried up dirrty brown and yellow chunks, and have now had to switch to another brand sadly the $$$ spent still burn

Turned our above ground pool water green and is nothing like the Morton pool salt I was trying to purchase. Doesn’t seem like the water even got salty, nor do salt levels register with the chlorinator. I question what’s in the product. Now trying to shock the pool and need some Morton’s

Unfortunately I read the reviews of this product after I had put it in my pool after having to drain and refill it. Sure enough, had 2 brown stains on my pebble tech pool the next morning. Company was nice to pay for some vitamin C to help get rid of it, but what a pain. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this and drive a bit further to a pool supply store and buy the pure version.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Price was competitive not the lowest. Pool salt is salt - hard to give it a superior rating, any downside is related to bag and comfort of carrying handle (or lack thereof) for multiple 40 Lb. bags.

I am heartbroken and wished that I had read the reviews prior to putting this in my pool. Our pool has been the centerpiece of our backyard and we have always kept it meticulous, so we were shocked when we emptied one bag of this pool salt into our pool and brushed it as we usually do only to come out the next morning and find large stains on the bottom of our pool where the pool salt was poured in. We tried brushing away these stains but they do not come off. We have used other brands of pool salt over the years, and have never, ever, encountered this problem before. Apparently, upon reading product reviews, we see that this is a common problem with this pool salt. We are very disappointed, and very upset that our beautiful pool now has large stains that we can't get out after using this pool salt.

FedEx delivered this in three different shipments over a weeks time, and except for one box all the boxes were damaged and the salt bags inside were torn and there was salt everywhere. I can’t even return it to the store because the salt is apparently all in the FedEx truck all over my driveway and all in the box and some of it is wet and clumped never order salt from Walmart again.

Four stars instead of five because of price. It’s increased about 65% since 2020 (pre-covid). I need to add a bag every once in a while and the Clorox brand dissolves very easy and is clean. I’ve bought a few other brands that are much harder to dissolve. This isn’t much of an issue if you’re adding a bag or two but if you’re starting up a new saltwater pool with 12 bags, it would be.

I put in One order for 21 bags of salt for Pool. Walmart decided it would be a great idea to break it into 20 different orders. So I would have to get 20 deliveries in order to get my full salt quantity needed. Well, it took them a week or two to get me the majority of the bags. But I still have four bags missing that just say pending and still have not made it to my house. I think it may also say that it is lost or something. But I have not Received any more salt. Plus I have not received my money back. I don’t know what kind of standard this is but this is not OK.

We just switched our pool over to saltwater. The pool supply store recommended their brand which was $12 a bag. We need 10 bag to start and will need more to replenish on a regular basis. I decided to give Clorox a try because it is $4 less per bag. It does an amazing job and my pool is sparkling.

The product is fine. Would recommend picking it up yourself at the store. The bags are 40 lbs. When delivered, I had to order a minimum of 6 for free shipping. However, each was in a seperate box with no packing material. The Fed Ex driver had to carry each separately to my front porch. He/she dropped each of them; many landed on another box. Of six, three were smashed. When I opened the boxes, two bags were split. I had to tape them up and dump the spilled salt into my pool from the boxes. I had to sweep wasted extra salt off my front porch. I wish I had taken a picture! I guess I cannot blame the driver, because these were heavy and ill packed. I will not order pool salt from Walmart again.
