This works just as well as what my pool guy brings. I pour it in the pool and use the brush to spread it. It is inexpensive and I don't have to make extra trip to a pool store and pay extra because it is a "specialty" item. Walmart has some pool supplies that are cheaper than the pool stores or what the pool guy will charge you.

Clorox pool and spa salt is the best we have used. It is always a very fine granular texture compared to all the other pool salts we have used. It dissolves fast and is very easy to add to the pool without all the clumping with most other brands of salt we have use.

This Clorox Pool Salt is not just for pools. We use it in the winter instead of rock salt. It clears the driveway up very fast after shoveling. It is very safe for animals. A lot of animals go into pools for a swim, so if it is safe for the pool then way not the driveway. I only get this brand. It is very fine and leaves no residue.

Walmart.com was out of salt designed for melting ice on driveways and sidewalks so ... I hoped salt is salt so I took a shot. This pool salt works great at melting ice! We've been in a deep freeze for weeks this winter. Despite the continued deep freeze, this salt melted a huge patch of ice on my front porch in 24 hours. I can't address this salts performance as intended, for pools, but for ice removal it works great! It clumps a little bit in the bag but is easily broken or de-clumped with a quick tap. This has been a frigid winter so far. I barely scratched the volume of this 40 lb bag salting my front porch, sidewalk and part of my driveway. I hope this bag will get me through the rest of the winter but if not, I know where to get more. Thanks Walmart.com!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clorox pool salt has always been reliable. The improvement is noticeable because the chlorine level in the pool rises considerably every time pool salt is added. Other brands raise the chlorine level but not as high and fast.

This works very well in my salt pool. It is very fast acting, and super easy to use. It dissolves very quickly in my pool, when I am running my filter to clean my pool. It's offered at a great price. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a pool, or jacuzzi.

Not sure where they store the bags, but ordered 6 bags and 1 was solid and full of water. Had to return it. No fault of the actual product, just possibly how it was stored. The other 5 where clumpy but mostly useable. The product that was loose was still slower dissolving than what you get from an actual pool company but overall, a decent product for the price.

Problem is with packaging. This is the third time a bag has had a hole/seem open so there is wasted salt in trunk of my car after pickup and salt on ground when moving to garage.

This was salt chemicals for our pool ,and 10 bags where left on the ground for it to get wet and be in elements I have a sign to deliver on the porch and it definitely can not make it for some reason . I have video of the person putting everything on the ground .

The entire bag has been wet, and it is solid like concrete. I am unable to break even the smallest amount off. It will not work for what I needed the whole bag. is ruined
