Stained liner. Followed directions and brushed to dissolve. Have tried different methods to remove stain and sequester iron unsuccessfully. Have had in ground pool for 21 years and this is the first time to have a problem with iron stains. I do not recommend this product.

Do not buy! Pool salt contaminated with Iron! Put salt in and fired up the salt water generator and the next day my pool was green as this salt is contaminated with iron...do yourself a favor and buy another good brand and dont gravitate toward the cheap price like i did...now its going to cost me lots of money trying to fix this!

the plastic bag had a hole in it. It was leaking at the registry. the lady did give me some tape to put over the hole. after i got home i had salt all in the back seat. i found several other holes in the bag. i did go back to get another bag and i found that the bags were damaged in shipping. there was salt all over the floor and it was very dangerous to walk on.

Great product but BUY IN STORE - instead of delivery or pickup. One third the price on the shelf as compared to here. I thought maybe it was a website mistake with a "1" in the tens position...nope, online price whether pickup or delivery is ten dollars more per forty pound bag.

This product will stain a fiberglass pool even with sweeping to distribute. If the product is not fully dissolved, it will stain. The directions do not indicate this is the extent a consumer must go through as some "helpful" reviewers would indicate. There are expensive stain removers that will remove the stain from fiberglass.

Great pool salt. No need to pay twice the price for pool salt unless you have money to burn. I've been using it for over a year. No, it doesn't stain the bottom of a pool if you're smart enough to toss it in, move it around with a pool brush and run you pool filter pump. Dissolves quickly and does exactly what it's suppose to.

22x52 inch pool with 10 bags. I just switched to a salt water system this year so I actually read the instructions which tells you your pool WILL turn green as it's part of the process. The next part is to get in the pool and make a whirlpool so the salt dissolves, otherwise just pouring the salt over the side and letting it sit in one spot will discolor the liner.. but that goes for all pool chemicals.

I bought this product even after reading the bad reviews. I also then went into the web and search for why pool products stains your pool. The number one reason is people are pouring it in a few locations and in clumps. That is a huge mistake. I bought 7 bags and I poured the content all over the pool and If i see any clumps I break them down and use my brush to dissolve the salt. It takes time but the end result is there are no stains at all. I would recommend this product to anyone that knows how to use it.

Do not buy this product! Oh how I wish we had checked the reviews before using. We added 4 bags. Now we have horrible stains everywhere! We’ve had our pool for 12 years. We’ve never had this problem until we used Clorox salt this time. I will be calling the distributor Monday morning.

Buyer beware, I will be buying Morton’s from here on out. The salt was fine and dissolves well , but when I put 8 bags in my pool it turned yellow/green. Read TFP and came up with the solution to put poly fill from an old pillow on the skimmers and use my Polaris pump run through another pillow to get the (likely) iron out. Within a few hours of pumping water through the polyfill, a brownish red ‘stain’ accumulated on all pillow stuffing filters (see pic). Within 10-20 hours of running the pump, the pool was clear again.
