Stains pool

This is very impure salt. I bought it because I liked how quickly it dissolved, but now regret it. I noticed after several clumps sat on the bottom, they left brown stains behind. This happened several times before I realized it. I will not be buying it again.

Rotted %26 leaky bags

The bags are very old. I've seen the same ones for a couple of seasons. Most are torn and there's salt everywhere. I found a few that looked ok, but when I loaded them in the cart and into my truck they were already loosing salt. I unloaded them at home and more salt was leaking from new tears. I would take the whole lot for half price or an equivelant price per pound. There's probable a few hundred pounds, don't bother, but don't bother. It make too much of a mess.

Please Learn how to add salt to a pool before usin

If you just dump pool salt into your pool and let it sit on your liner without getting in and making sure it's getting stirred up and dissolved, it WILL stain your liner. That is true of ALL pool salt. You also have to run for filter for 24 to 48 STRAIGHT BEFORE you turn on the Generator after it's all dissolved or it will not be thoroughly mixed and your generator will tell you you don't have enough salt, and you will add more and then have TOO much salt. Be smart.

works great for us.

Best deal around. I've used this every time we've had to add salt including first use for 2 years. We have not had any trouble with it not dissolving or with it staining the liner. BUT we are in Texas so the pool stays in the high 80s. Might be that it needs warm water perhaps.

Salt Pool= summer fun!!

I recommend putting a hold on the bottom of the bag and pouring it directly on top of the water jet that’s in your pool. Otherwise it’s going to sit in one spot until dissolved. If you put the pool salt directly over the jet, it will push the salt throughout the pool. It works best at least in my opinion.

No issues...

22x52 inch pool with 10 bags. I just switched to a salt water system this year so I actually read the instructions which tells you your pool WILL turn green as it's part of the process. The next part is to get in the pool and make a whirlpool so the salt dissolves, otherwise just pouring the salt over the side and letting it sit in one spot will discolor the liner.. but that goes for all pool chemicals.

Leaves UGLY brown stains!!!! DO NOT USE!

I have operated my saltwater pool for 12 years. This year, I used Clorox salt that I purchased at Walmart. The next morning, I found that this so called highly pure salt had left UGLY brown stains everywhere it had touched. The stains do not brush out. This is by far the worst pool salt I have ever seen! Stay away, far far away.

Salty salt for my pool

I have been using every brand and type Sam’s carries and all work the same for me. I have read the negative reviews and frankly if I hadn’t already used it I would be concerned. Maybe they had a bad batch? I have used this type since it appeared it my store last year. Never had one problem. Dissolves quickly and maintained salt levels. If I ever have a problem I’ll post it here but so far I keep buying and using without any problems. Thanks Sam’s!

Get ready for stained pool!

Terrible salt. Stains liner pool. Got reimbursement from Clorox distributor to fix stain. ( Use Ascorbic Acid - vitamin C available in bulk. 1 pound will do job in 25000 gal pool.) A year or so later, I mistakedly bought same more. Same result. This time I got no response from company. It was my fault for repurchasing. Never again.
