1/4 wood mulch

Tons of wood chips. There’s no wonder it’s so cheap… it’s 1/4 wood mulch. At least there’s descent amounts of perlite.

The mix should contain smaller bark pieces to aid aeration and plant stability. The Worst Ever

This is the worst potting mix we’ve ever used. Every plant it stunted. Heavy with sticks and bark. Never again will we purchase it.

This isn't even close to being a potting mix.

It's mulch and manure with maybe a tablespoon of perlite in the entire bag. I'm not sure who approve this for the Member's Mark label, but they should be fired. This stuff is garbage.

Lots of Wood

Great for larger bedding plants but not seedlings. Lots of wood chips. I filled an underbed box half full, then hand sifted to remove wood chips. Quarter in small box for size reference. Won't buy again.

The "wood chips" you are seeing are either Sphagnum Peat for retaining water or aged bark fines for drainage and aeration of your potted plants. These are good things in the mix. Please give the product another chance or contact us at (800) 285-7333. Thank You

No good

I’ve purchased many bags of this over the last couple years was good mix at a good price. Sam’s must have changed suppliers. Not sure what it is but it’s not potting mix. Bags were only two thirds full. I’m returning for a refund. Buyer beware.
