horrible, full of bark, drains so fast it takes twice as much water to keep plants alive. not even close to miracle gro potting mix. its mid august and my plants are not even half as big as last year when i used miracle gro. sams dropped the ball on this one. most members mark products perform well, but not this. avoid like the plague, spend the extra money for miracle gro potting mix

I typically have purchased Miracle-Grow from Sam’s I thought this has to be the same, it is not. My flowers normally are flourishing, they are dropping leaves and not thriving. As an experiment, I emptied two containers and repotted with the OG Miracle-Grow potting soil and they are surpassing what I planted two month ago. Save your money and time.

Will not be purchasing this mix again. Lots of wood pieces and sticks, and did not hold moisture very well or hold together even when wet. Pictured are plants in Members Mark potting mix, and plants in Miracle Gro Moisture Control, which I switched to after depleting the Members Mark. 2 months later, the proof is in the plantings. I was surprised Miracle Gro moisture control soil was not available this year, I’ve used it successfully for many years, purchasing about 30 bags yearly. After trying Members Mark, I find there is too much woody debris in the bag. Unfortunately, I did not sift the debris before wetting the soil and it’s difficult to now remove it. I’m going to return the unopened bags.

This is absolutely the worst potting mix. I have ever purchased in my life. It either stunted or killed the plants that I purchased, and I am not happy about it. It messed up my growing season, which I look forward to Every year. I will never purchase this product again from sam's club.. This mix ended up looking more like mulch. When it's settled and got watered a few times the plants have stayed small, or died at this point. I have pulled some out and just thrown them away as they couldn't be saved. This really cost me money that I don't have to spend on a fixed income. So disappointed in this growing season.

This potting soil stays too wet. Plants are not growing and some are dying. Way too much of the wetting agent polymer. I've replaced what I can with the Miracle Grow moisture control potting soil and a world of difference. Pulled dying cucumbers and replaced with miracle grow soils and replanted. They look great. Sam's should go back to buying the Miracle Grow in bulk and passing on the savings. They did that a couple of years ago and it was a great service to customers.

I was really disappointed with Member's Mark Potting Soil. It contains a lot of large pieces of wood, which made the soil feel more like mulch than quality potting soil. My plants did not grow nearly as well this year compared to previous years when I used Miracle-Gro Potting Mix. I followed the same planting and care routine, so the difference was very noticeable. I won't be purchasing this potting soil again.

Do not use if you're planting vegetables or herbs. For years we used miracle gro moisture control potting soil with great success until Sam's Club switched to this Member's Mark version. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. All of our vegetable plants failed to grow - are turning yellow and failing to yield fruit. As an avid gardener I have never encountered this widespread crop failure. Moisture control? This soil never dries out - ever. And it's so compacted - no aeration at all. This is by far the worst soil i have ever used. I will be switching back to Miracle Gro for sure. What a waste of money.

I did not receive any incentive for my review!! The majority of reviews are. This potting mix is excellent!! light, fluffy and a great mix. I did add extra nutrients when used in my grow bags for vegetables. Worm castings, Dr Earth and bone meal but I woulf biy again and again. I bought 3 bags and just ordered s other 2 for pickup. you won't be disappointed.

If I could give a minus rating I would. The first 3 bags I bought seemed similar to the Miracle Grow soil Sam's sold last year. The next 3 I bought were basically wood shavings, very poor quality control or consistency. This year my tomato plants were about 2/3's of the size of last year and very few tomatoes on the plants. If Sam's does not go back to selling the Miracle grow brand I'll be shopping at the other warehouse option in our area. (starts with a c).
