If this was the first and only time this had happened I wouldn't be so bothered but although the berries looked good through the packaging once I opened them at home they were moldy and squishy. I forgot to open the container in the store before scanning but it's so cold in the room where they keep the "fresh" fruit that I only briefly checked. I also bought 2 packages of blackberries that were also moldy. The price for strawberries was good and sometimes the quality is great but more often lately I'm finding mold and/or squishy fruit.

I bought these strawberries right around Valentine's Day, and they were absolutely perfect! For a special treat, I used them to make chocolate covered strawberries, and they were gone almost instantly. Delicious, perfectly shaped, beautiful red color. Very nice!

Sam's Club has been carrying Driscoll strawberries for the last couple of weeks. It's a larger package, 2 pounds I think, about $2.50 cheaper, and much larger strawberries than the brand they normally carry, BUT aren't nearly as tasty 🙁 Hoping they'll bring back their regular brand. Driscoll is a good brand for berries in the summer months.

From 2# if strawberries we were able to eat eight strawberries. They were soggy and brown. I used customer pick up and was very unhappy that they choose these. Don’t think they would have chosen the package for themselves . I have to say they are usually much better.

Charlottesville VA Sam’s Club should be ashamed! I ordered a curbside pickup of $302 in groceries. The order included one pack of strawberries and one pack of blackberries. My husband picked up the order because I was sick, so he didn’t realize he should have checked behind them to make sure we got quality fruits. BOTH fruits were spoiled/molded and had actually turned “soupy” in the container before he could even unload them from the car. I will be contacting Sam’s today and I expect a full refund for both. What a mess!!

Looked beautiful there in the freezing cooler, by the time I needed to slice and use in a recipe the next day, most had turned to mush. They were practically frozen in the cooler then thawed in my refrigerator. Waste of food besides having to replace my purchase at another store

These strawberries were so delicious. I didn't even have one spoil. Got to eat them all. I leave the leaves on while I wash them. Then store them in the fridge in an enclosed container. Then I take out what I want to eat after taking off the leaves. I think that is why they last so long.

Only reason I’m giving a 4 is because lately the strawberries seem to be more rotten than good but usually these strawberries last longer than anywhere else we get fruit! And they always taste delicious, just seem to be going bad faster suddenly in the last month or so.

My sainted Irish gramma loved Driscoll's strawberries and that tradition continues down to me and beyond. Always a high quality berry with a very distinctive ever present strawberry taste. Never tastes like a piece of balsa wood dressed up like a strawberry. I love to slice them up and serve them with real whipped cream as a dessert treat. At breakfast they are delicious hiding under vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. Strawberry shortcake of course. They are a nice treat in a mesclun salad. I rely on others to do my grocery shopping and Driscoll's berries are always top quality with leafy green tops and if they are dented simply blame the traffic the truck driver had to fight to get your berries to the store. This time of year is difficult with the heat waves, heat domes, garden Gnomes and wherever whomever roams before your berries are ready to be prepped. Nothing else will do when it comes to the choicest berries around.
