The strawberries were big and very flavorful. My nephews couldn't quit chowing down on them, nor could I and my sister. And yes I did have to go get another pack

You have to look carefully before purchasing these, many have mold in them. When you get a good batch their great. They don't seem to last long in the fridge, so I wouldn't recommend purchasing them till you're ready to use them

Four stars for beautiful, fresh, red strawberries. One star off for lack of sweetness (not unusual in most strawberries I buy.) I used half of them for a shortcake recipe, so I cut them up and macerated them overnight with sugar. Then they were perfect. The remaining I cooked down into a strawberry sauce.

Strawberries were rotten after two days. Many of the packages were highly questionable, and I thought I had picked a good package. On the second day, I found several berries that were almost completely covered in white fuzz. Threw the entire 2 pound package in the trash!!!

While these strawberries looked perfect in color and shape it was upsetting to see that while taking them out they were bad somewhat slimy and had several bad spots. It was night in day from what they looked like in the packaging. Never again will I buy them from there. Waste of money.

Bought these to use next day. I looked at them thoroughly before purchasing and they looked ok. The next day the majority of them were bad. Spoiled, mold growing, very soft spots, etc. I bought 4 containers and could only use 1 total container. They were for a large event so I couldn’t return them that day. Had to go buy more at a closer grocery store spending more money.

The strawberry’s were big and had no flaws. I just washed and dried them, and left the green part in place. The 2 pounds beautifully filled a white china bowl. I made a cream cheese dip to accompany the berries, and to them to a pot luck lunch. They were the first dish to be consumed.

The very best way to check for freshness is to smell the outer container. If they smell like ripe strawberries, they are most likely perfect. If there is very little strawberry smell, they aren't ripe enough. If they smell like wine....well, they're a little over ripe! Sam's strawberries are about the best you'll find anywhere (except maybe a strawberry farm). You can't miss with these berries!

Be warned, and always check your strawberries before leaving the store. There was a very green moldy strawberry in my pack, and it turns out the rest were off as well.
