This cheese does not melt like the block that you shred yourself, it scorched before the inside of my casserole was done

It's very convenient to get shredded cheese in a large package like this. When I get it home, I just put it into individual quart sized freezer bags and only keep out one package at a time.

I have purchased this item for many years. Use it all the time in many ways. We break it down into several smaller bags and freeze them. Take it out defrost it and use.

In our house it is cheese on everything, so the quantity is perfect. I also love the fact that I can reseal the bag with our vacuum sealer to keep it fresh.

This cheese has a decent flavor, but it is shredded to the point of being crumbles. The old brand Sam's carried was the Daily Chef and it was a much better quality. When it is shredded this much, there has to be much more cellulose to keep it from sticking. I'm disappointed they switched and took away the higher quality product.
