The machine works wonderfully, it cools down my larger living room/dining room so well! However the "ease of install" is a bit deceptive for those of us in older homes. I didn't realize that I'd need to have extra pieces of wood to prop it in my windows UNTIL I opened the box and saw I was being directed to the support site for additional install instructions as I have storm windows. Along with needing to find small wood pieces to prop the front of the machine, the side panels left some gaping holes in the window from. Which, honestly, is fine as I'm used to having to add in some tape on other air conditioners. The unit works so well that I'm totally fine to overlook this, but having that information more upfront on the website would have left me more prepared.

I didn't expect much when I sent the video of my AC unit malfunctioning, but Maggie sent my issue off for resolution. Within 24 hours I received a response and my unit was replaced and shipped to me. I did not expect that this would be resolved this quickly and efficiently. I appreciate the friendly customer service that was provided.

It's ok. I didn't realize the air comes from the top of the unit with no way to adjust the air flow direction. So it may not work for our needs. I assumed since this is a higher-end design that it would have that feature. The fan only mode is surprisingly loud. And right now the remote doesn't work. I removed the tab from the battery compartment but will have to troubleshoot why it's not working. As of now, I would not recommend this unit to others if you want to adjust flow direction.

Great AC. My second windmill. 1st was 8000 btu. The air blows out at 47 degrees! Wow it is cold and extremely easy to install. Ready right out of the box with everything you need to seal up window and cover gaps —Eve has the scissors you’ll need. My 2nd windmill is the 12000 btu. It’s just as cold. When I plugged it in and turned it on, I thought it was broken. I checked the surge suppressor and plug outlet but nothing changed I thought…. The room began to get cool and I realized —-It was running!!! It’s the quietest AC I have ever seen or imagined! At least 9 x quieter as advertised. It’s almost silent!!! Great Job Windmill!!!!

I love my new Windmill AC, especially being able to check my apartment's temperature while I'm at work and adjust the thermostat remotely so things are cool by the time my young family gets home. Even after I had problems with a few things, the support team was absolutely incredible and super responsive to all my needs. I felt very well taken care of, and I'm so thrilled that I tried out this new company!

Great experience with the folks at Windmill! I was very impressed with the understanding and speed at which they handled my issue. A new replacement unit was at my door in just a couple of days. Really enjoying our new unit on this hot and humid day! Thank you.

This company is honestly better than all the other major manufacturers we've purchased from. When our unit encountered a technical issue after a winter in storage, customer service stepped in and almost immediately resolved. A new unit was arriving at our door before we even realized it. A huge relief and a great experience! And we LOVE the app-enabled product. Being able to set our times & temps away from home has made such a difference to our comfort. Knowing our dog is safe when we aren't home and it won't over heat does us so much good. Wouldn't recommend you buy anywhere or anything else.

I am sure the AC is great. I've only had it in a few days and not operating it yet. Weather's not hot. However, there's a serious flaw in your mounting instructions. Please refer to my last two emails to your help team. I've not yet heard back from them, even though on previous resolvable matters I heard immediately.

What I love about this AC: I can sit near the AC unit and not have cold air blowing on me - it is directed up! It is truly the quietest window AC I have ever encountered. It was not as heavy as typical window AC's of the same size. While it is still an AC in the window in the middle of the room, it just looks nicer. It is much sleeker and modern looking, just not such an eyesore.

Received the Windmill AC, installation was easy. Unfortunately, the compressor was not working. Contacted customer service (Lisbeth) who walked me through a few troubleshooting steps. Confirmed the compressor was bad and I received a new unit 2 days later. New unit works great! Best customer service I ever dealt with. And the AC unit, looks as good as it works. Joe Hauser
