This Windmill air conditioner might cost more than others but it has an Energy Star which many other air conditioners don't have. So it costs less to use. It is also much quieter than other brands. It might have been easier to install but like all window air conditioners it is heavy and requires two people to set in the window.

Very quiet A/C. Looks decent when installed. The foam board sides panels don't seem as high quality as the rest of the machine itself. The unit does not blow out a large amount of air, but still does a good job in keeping the room nice and cool

I bought two from Walmart and one end up lost in the middle of no where ._. So I manage to setup one. It's heavy for sure but it is the most easy setup I've ever done. I've used Midea before, much complicated than this. And this AC also sounds very very quiet compare to the old Midea I had. Definitely recommended lol!!! I really really love it!

I was looking for a quality, small air conditioner with an emphasis of quietness. With regard to quality and quiet, this air conditioner meets my expectations. However, one thing that was made clear to me in the advertising of this product is the ease of installation compared to other budget mass produced air conditioners. As simple as sliding in the AC through the window and spreading the curtains to meet the width. The pictures of the product on the site went as far as to provide an info graphic of X's, indicating the usual materials that come with other common air conditioners that you will not have to fuss with this product. Maybe it would be a stretch, but I imagine people felt similarly mislead when opening the box to see the same materials they thought they would not have to deal with tacked on with a manual in bold print (45 minute installation). This is something admittedly I did not follow, I slid the air conditioner in, expanded the curtains, and used the materials as needed to seal it. The same materials were used to adjust the AC in the proper angle to make sure there is minimal rattling and buzzing. I will have to make sure to preface since I did not follow the 45 minute installation process, the quirky behaviors might be a result. Nonetheless, the AC has been working flawlessly, but with noises that have been unbearable without adjustments in the window or a good push on certain parts of the front. It happens at random and is usually an easy fix. Normal operation, the sound is perfect and what I was looking for. The only thing I cannot fully portray is the longevity of the this AC.

I can't believe that they took care of it so quickly and efficiently. I never would have believed that they would replace my air conditioner. It was still in the warranty and the next day I had a new air conditioner Great service great product thank you for everything

Like everyone else who bought this newer one, the fan is clunky and off balance and ridiculously loud when it kicks on. Sounds like it’s going to come flying through the unit. Serious defect.

As much as I wanted to really like this ac, it was extremely loud whenever the compressor turned on to the point where it would rattle and shake my bedroom windows. I could never get used to it so I had to return it. The return was easy at least

I bought this hoping for a quiet ac unit. But instead it is loud when it starts up to cool each time, as its running it gets quiet, but sounds like a dirtbike each cycle which kept me awake all night. So each time it kicks on which is many times, its loud. Also smells musty after only having this for 1 week. I downloaded the app to control the temp and it cant stay consistent. I put it on 73 it goes to 68, does this all day and night, freezing the room, then it goes to 75 and the room gets hot. I am constantly adjusting the temp. Returning this. FYI, I bought the one with the inverter because it was supposed to be quieter and it was worse.

I've had my unit about 3 years. As of last year, it started malfunctioning - I'd put it on the lowest temp, highest fan, etc., and the system completely malfunctions - keeps turning itself up to 86 degrees on its own! We would wake up in the middle of the night to beeping, lights flashing, and sweltering hot. I would encourage anyone reading this to search for the Windmill Reddit page - 100s of reviews saying the same thing happened to them. Save your money and buy an LG!
