I have used this washer for 8 cycles and so far I love it. Connecting the app to wifi is easy (follow the instructions) and the app features are great. I like the notifications when the washer has completed its cycle and the monthly emails about how the washer is performing. I really hope the washer lasts 10+ years but only time will tell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A month ago I bought my first front load washer, and I really like the ease of transferring wet clothes from the washer to the dryer. It's easy to see how much and where to add the detergent. I just cleaned out the filter for the first time, which wasn't difficult. I keep a towel on top of the washer to wipe the door and rubber seal after each wash. I love the intelligence of the washer, self-adjusting and telling me how long each load will take. This new technology removes guesswork and makes laundry easy and fun!

We bought this but couldn’t install until mid January. Turned it on and had water leaking all over. Called LG for warranty service and after 3 calls didn’t resolve the issue they sent a repair tech who immediately found the leaking parts. Parts were installed 2 days later. I did 4 loads of laundry and it’s working great!! This my 3rd LG washer and I’ve been pleased with every one!

Even the electronic copy gives little info. I cannot get the machine to do anything other than what comes up on the dial. For example, I cannot figure out how to get the machine to know I want an extra rinse!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for about a month and so far it works great. I wasn't sure if the Turbo Wash would be worth the extra money, but it is. I really cuts down on the time it takes to do a cycle without sacrificing your clothes getting clean. The app that you can use on your smartphone is handy, but it had some quirks to get it paired with the washer. Once set up on the phone, no problems. The washer is very quiet and it doesn't stick out so far into the room compared to some others, which was one of the deciding factors in getting this one. The front of the washer has a smoke colored cover on the door, which I'm not sure I like or not. It's a little too dark so you can't see very well whats going on in the washer. However it makes the front of the door perfectly flat and looks sleek. The inner window is actually tempered glass and not acrylic which is impressive. All in all very impressed with the washer so far. Cleanliness of the clothes is far superior to the HE top load washer it replaced.

The AI is so unique, how it measures your load of clothes and calculates how long it will take to wash the load. Turbo wash makes our clothes even cleaner than we could ever imagine. There are so many features here I would need a book to go through them all. Coming from a 13 year old washer this washer has launched us into the future of technology for doing your laundry. On top of all that this machine is an energy star with a 10 year warranty on the motor. And you can download the LG THINQ app to monitor your usage and keep up on maintenance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer and matching dryer were upgrades to a pair of front-loaders that were 15 years old and no longer operating in an ideal fashion. I was going to choose the 9000 series Signature pair but our laundry room doesn't have enough space to fit larger machines. As it is with the 4000 series, we now have larger total capacity in frames that are the same size as the outgoing old pair. Washing performance is excellent. At first we thought the washer wasn't actually saturating or soaking some clothes because after spin, some articles were almost completely dry. It far exceeds the performance of the old machine, including with athletic wear (non-cotton shirts, for example) and the body odor or sweat smells being locked into the fabric - this does not happen with our new washer. The Turbo feature is pretty cool, allowing for a much shorter wash cycle with no decrease in performance. The tub and detergent drawers seem mold resistant and anything but flimsy, and having a tub clean reminder and special cycle is a big bonus. Along with the matching dryer, this washer has problems with presets and customizability. I would like to be able to change the water temp, spin speed, addition of steam, etc., and most of the presets do not allow this. It is most frustrating since almost all clothes and sheets now do not recommend anything over cold/warm water, or in the case of drying, anything over low heat. For LG to lock their presets into only certain water temps, or certain heat levels in the dryer, greatly reduces the usefulness and value of the presets on both machines. Overall, a huge upgrade to 15-year-old front loader technology, and a high-quality machine, for sure. I just wish I could do more of what I want on any given preset or cycle setting.

The Turbo Wash feature is great! It cleans the clothes well in half the time compared to our previous Kenmore front loader. It's quiet, doesn't shake, so no vibration noise, load capacity very well suited for our family of three. There's many features we have yet to try (bells and whistles) like the Wi-Fi connection and steam setting. Definitely recommend.
