Great cleaning ablity with use of less soap, bleach and softener. I purchased this washer as it was the best available of the stock on hand at my dealer. Only problem is the operation of the machine requires some one who is extremely versed in operating a computer. It should be pointed out that I am 81 and my Grandson would love the operational aspect of this machine only problem he is 2300 miles away and can not give any assistance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer to replace our 2011 WM3875HVCA. Several improvements were noted including the door seal design and the shorter cycle times. The ThinQ capability is a "nice to have", but hardly essential. Unfortunately, the designers mechanized the ThinQ connection so that you can only have letters in the network name (SSID). It's relatively common to have some special characters in SSID's (e.g., underscores and dashes) and this restriction can be very limiting in making a connection to a home network. The ThinQ "Download" function is interesting, but LG really missed an opportunity by not allowing the user to build a custom cycle and download that. Our 2011 model had a "Programmable" button that could be configured to whatever configuration the user desired. Not possible in this model, but hopefully something that can be added to the app. Another big miss is that the control panel settings are still not backlit. This makes the settings very hard to read in anything but bright room light. Using a segmented display, rather than a color LCD display, is also a minor miss. Segmented displays can make it hard to read certain characters. Overall, the WM400HBA is a worthy successor to the WM3875 and highly recommened.

I really like my dryer, this was a splurge for me and I’m so glad I bought it. My clothes come out nice and dry and soft. I also like that I can change settings according to my needs.my dryer is on a pedestal so I do not have to bend over and to get my clothes out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first front loading washing machine and so far I am loving it. It holds plenty of clothes and gets them all clean with no issues. The smart technology that's built into the machine does a great job of helping you make the best choices for washing, and gives you lots of great tips via the compatible app. It also is very quiet for a washing machine, much quieter than our old one that made you turn up the tv volume to drown it out. I like having the ability to make choices that are specific to what I'm washing with the different options on what you're washing and how you want to wash it. The overall look of the machine is also very nice looking and pairs well with the dryer that matches. Really makes your laundry room look fancy!

I bought this a before labor day (9/3) directly from LG. If you dont have time to wait, I dont recommend that route. The delivery date was stated 9/20. However, that is the delivery date to a third party that will deliver it to you house. Very misleading! I had to wait an additional 2 weeks (10/11) to receive my new appliances. I have now had this washer for a bit. I am very pleased. The washer itself is great. It has an abundance of features. Like Wi-fi it is neat that i can get a notification that my cloths are done.

I've been using this washer for a couple weeks now and have really enjoyed the results. The washer is easy to use and appears to clean clothes more quickly and thoroughly than my previous top-load washer. I've liked the LG ThinQ features as well; though I wish the remote functionality was a little more seamless. Also, I keep the washer door open after each cycle and use a towel to wipe down the rubber seals to avoid buildup and to hopefully prevent the washer from smelling bad down the road. But that's simply part of life with a front-load washer. I also like the different wash cycles and settings. It would be more helpful if LG provided additional details on each of the cycles and settings to truly understand how they affect the washer's performance. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used to replace a very similar 15-year-old LG washer. My old LG washer needed to be replaced. The WM4000HBA was very similar in features and capacity. Have had it about 3 weeks and like it. It is quieter than the old model, and provides a lot more feedback as to what it is doing.

I've had this washer for a few weeks. The combination of the turbo wash and the nearly dry spin works for my every day pet messes. The app is an excellent addition, I can see from anywhere in my house when my load will be done. It also let's you download different washing programs, but I haven't had a need to use it yet.
