After the initial 2 weeks post delivery of my new LG washer and dryer, I am happy to say that I made a superior purchase decision. I recommend this LG washer and dryer set. The details below. The Pros: - Many choices for cycles, spin speed, temp, soil level, etc. - Capacity is large, but the units handle small loads well, also. - Runs whisper quiet, smooth, and solid as a rock (zero vibrations, though I haven't done a very large load yet). - Clothes came out clean and properly spun out (very little moisture retained). - The load complete notification chime sounds like an ice cream truck. Silly? Yes, but I love hearing it! Haha. The Cons: - So many choices; maybe too many choices! And if you want to deviate from the preset defaults, you can, but it's lots of tapping each individual setting on the LED screen. Time consuming! I wish there was a memory function where I could program my "normal" cycle settings and then recall it with 1-button press. - The LED screen is very small font and not overly lit. If you're older or sight impaired, be advised. I need my reading glasses and a flashlight to choose my combinations of the many options. Someday, I'll have it memorized, hopefully. - The units are big... measure your space accurately for fit (I did so all good). Be aware that if you're shorter (I'm 5'1"), reaching over the units is a stretch! All of that said, I give these units a thumbs up and would buy them again. The only outstanding question is maintenance and durability. LG has a good track record so I hope my units perform well for years to come.

We have had this washer for a little over a month. It is okay but I don't think it is worth the high price tag that we paid. Although it is touted as having all these extra awesome features, I don't see a difference at all. It washes my clothes pretty well and efficiently but that's about it. Only time will tell.

It has several nice features that my old one did not have and it works great. The machine is quiet and powerful on the spin cycle. The reviews I had read on this machine were right on the money.

The direct drive is great and the turbo wash is a must have. I do wish there was a way to increase the volume of the notifications. Other than that it’s a great washer!

I bought this washer just over a month ago after doing much research and asking people I know that have LG washers. Not this model, but LG just the same. It has been a treat to use! Its such fun doing laundry now, that I walk around the house thinking," what can I wash today!!!I" HAHA!! I wanted a washer large enough for blankets and comforters. I have used it for blankets and have been very happy with it. I have 2 large dogs and 2 cats, so it was important that the washer could handle extra hair. When I took one of the dog blankets out of the washer, there were several little hair " buttons" that made it very easy to dispose of before putting the blanket in the dryer. I did purchase the matching dryer and had them stacked in my utility room. Very nice even if I need to stand on a small stool to reach the controls. I am not complaining at all, its just a fact. Highly recommend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine replaced a 13 year old LG TROMM washer that was horribly loud and shook the house during its spin cycle. This machine does not make a lot of noise, even during spin cycles, large load or small. Haven't had it long but I am so far pleased with the machine's performance. The Wifi stuff is a bit flakey, but that's not required to use the machine.

Because the new generation of washers are taller than older models, we had to alter the cabinet where the new one is placed. The door does not latch well, and we are still waiting for a repair person. Having said that, the machine functions well; quiet and efficient. It does well with small or large loads.

A little over a week ago, our LG washer was delivered. I am amazed at the results. We washed an old comforter from our bed. It took our spots that had been there for years. We are using the same detergent as we used with the old washer, be very different results. Cleaner / brighter clothes and bedding. WOW
